This is such a bizarre phenomenon. It's WWE meets baseball, meets a touch of the Harlem Globetrotters. The scores mean nothing. Bill Veeck (back in the day) was definitely on to something.

Gosh, there may be no crying in baseball but there was a fair amount of weeping on account of Banana Ball this year. The moments are what matter the most. I full on ugly cried watching sweet Alaina make her walk to the plate with Deeb and Coach Gillum. What a little warrior she is and what a privilege it was to watch her take her first steps with her prosthetic. As Deeb moves on to his next chapter I hope he’s able to maintain contact with some of his little Bananaland buddies because the kiddos sure seemed to gravitate to him.
