It may look quiet but it's dangerous. I live in savannah in the projects for 3 years, killings were too common and gun shots on the regular or your occasional cops. Worst part is I had to walk from my high school back to my place in section 8 housing. Never looked back when I went back home to Alaska for college. Have to say he didn't go through the worst parts though lol

My family has had a small business running in that area for over 80 years and three generations. I myself am from the Sandfly of Savannah Georgia. This breaks my heart because I can just see the gentrification and the pushing out of the generational black ownership.

You wouldn’t believe the REASON for why there’s a serious divide in Savannah. They’re emotionally and mentally downtrodden so bad that even if you try to help they don’t trust you because their own work so hard to keep them down. If you ain’t in the notorious “ clique “ you’re left to live like that for the rest of your life. They’re oppressed. Heartbreaking. Makes me cry some of the stories I can tell you about. Especially the children and it’s been going on for generations from what I understand.

there’s murder and crime in every city. You might be from Chicago but I guarantee you never witnessed or participated in shit you just saw what you saw on the news and like to brag abt being from the chi. Georgia has one of the highest murder per capita rates. Where I’m from Waco tx wouldn’t be considered “dangerous” but in the 90’s we had the highest murder per capita in the entire country. Danger is everywhere bro. Gon get caught slipping with that mentality. Pop smoke got killed in a mansion across the country from his city. In 2022 murder is everywhere even the burbs.
