Don't have many people who can afford a system like this in my area as a automation business. Thanks for the info!!!

Very helpful video. However, I’m using a 3rd party audio amp for a client (no hassle), with Sonos as the streamer, everything works fine except volume control. I’m unable to control volume from Savant. After getting I touch with No hassle, they claim I needed to create volume myself. How do I go about this? Thanks

Hi, I’m a Savant integrator from New Zealand. This video has been really helpful for me. Do you have any plans to do anymore or a website where we can access tips and tricks? I’d even be happy to pay.

My integrator dissapeared a year ago and now I can only access my Savant Pro host while on a local network. If I am outside my house I can no longer connect via the iOS app. I can login to the pro host and adjust settings etc. I do have those codes, but have no way to enable remote access for my user in the iOS app. any ideas? How can I delete the admin user and create a new one? thanks.

To access your home remotely you must be logged into the Savant Pro App with an email and password. If you have forgotten your password you can click the forgot password link in the app. Once confirm you are logged into the App you can then inside the app go to "Settings" -> "Users" and see the list of users and the permissions. If you yourself do not have "Admin" rights to the house then you are limited in your capabilities and would need a Savant Authorized integrator to go to your house and remove the existing admin and add you as an admin. Unfortunately there is no way around this. I hope this information Helps.

@@gerbertechnologysolutionsl2770 I need to reset the admin user on my Savant Pro Host. Me and the integrator had a falling out and he is the admin user. I currently am only able to access the savant if I am on the same network (created myself a local user) I have access to the host, racepoint, system monitor, ssh, etc. How can I DELETE his admin user and claim the host under my user and take full control back? Been looking everywhere on the internet and the issue is not covered.

@@alfonsoparedes I understand your situation and unfortunately there is no way that you can do this on your own. You will need to get another local Authorized Savant dealer to work with you to get you Admin access to your home.

I'm having an issue getting the savant pro app to populate w/ the generated services, can't find anything on knowledge base
@gerbertechnologysolutionsl27704 жыл бұрын
Without seeing your config I can't be positive as to what is causing services to not show up but I can point you in at a couple items that could be causing this. Please make sure you have all your control connections made for any of the devices you need to control. This will be called out for with any Yellow title bars for your components. The other part is to make sure you have a complete signal path that matches your exact install. IE if you have speakers in your install you will need to have speakers on your Blueprint. I hope this helps.

Looks like with a graphical interface, it shouldn't take more than an hour or two to set up a home.

@@ckfritts Unless the Savant control unit was built in the 1950's, I am guessing that if you hook up speaker wires to the back AMP or receiver and that is hooked to the control unit, there will be a graphical interface to let the control unit know which speakers and controlled by the ipad or whatever is hooked to the system. I will also bet that programming that GUI, shouldn't take all frikkin' day unless it was designed by some programmers high on METH. The reason that you are saying that it "takes a long time" is for billable hours to the customer. Get real. Now if I am wrong, why not in DETAIL, explain the process to educate me on why it would take all day

@@TheFoxwiz Really comes down to complexity and what the client is trying to do with their system. This video is rather "basic" and straight forward, so most 4-6 zone systems with a handful of sources shouldn't take too long. But there are a lot of intricate settings that add up and the work can grow exponentially as more and more services are added to the project. Once all those connections are made, you need to go through various tables and clean up naming conventions, associating proper icons and text, inputting ip address and host information for sources that are IP controlled, on boarding savant UIDs for savant devices, putting in coordinates, setting up provider information and channel favorites. Some tvs even require special security keys to be generated and accepted at the TV end point and then that security credential needs to be placed into blueprint. And this is just to name a few off the top of my head. Once you start getting into video distribution and lighting, you're definitely going to be spending more hours getting everything polished. Also, once you start adding in multiple SIPA 50 (audio units) the service paths can get real crazy because say you have your TV/cable boxes audio outs going into the IP Audio, there can be a very large number of service paths that that single audio source can be distributed to, and without carefully laying out in the software and disabling it in specific zones it will clutter the Savant Pro App and result in a very poor user experience. Now I understand that it seems like integrators like to upcharge for time but the reality is the good ones know what they are doing and really this expectation should be discussed and understood before the project even begins. We install other platforms like RTI and I can tell you, while Savant is more premium when it comes to their products there is significantly less time in programming than some other systems. But that said it does take time to do right. Its one thing to slap some connections in blue print an entirely different situation when it comes to testing and usability afterwards. Hope this helps.
