Hitesh Sir, since last 2 years , I was hearing about nodejs, mongodb and react, when I was in 3rd year of my college, I always use to think it must be so tough because it is today's hot skill, it will take a lot of time to understand that, and I never actually started, somehow got a job, when the requirement came for node with no sql, I referred your your mongodb tutorial, and in just one day, I know all the basics of mongodb to start working on project, thank you so much for making our life easy, really appreciate your work. Again Thank you so much, would love to meet you in person some day

Yup !! guessed it , and it was ri8 .... db.studentData.find().forEach((student)=>{printjson(student.email)}) works .... and I should appreciate ur sense of humour too ..!!
The newer versions of mongodb do not require you to use the function "toArray()". As it already returns the objects in the form array.
@ShakeelKhan-pz6zl Жыл бұрын
The command "mongo" to fire up the mongodb does not work with mongodb version 6.0. You need to use run "mongosh" instead.

iam new to mongodb .and i want to know how what is best practices and what is not best but optimum for my needs 1) get all the data and sort and filter client side (i know this is bad) 2) filter data on mongo atlas and then sort client side (dose it make any difference to save resource on server ) 3) filter and sort on server and just show data on client what should i do and what are best practices. like i get a list of documents from server with embedded objects. 1) should i use project and remove embedded objects i dont need.( does this use more server resource) 2) or i get all the embedded objects and hide them with client side logic

Doubt: When you said that .find().forEach() is costly since first it retrieves all the data from data base and then does the looping part. So it means that when I run this query from my apllication server, then it goes to the mongodb server gets all the data because I have not given any filters in .find() send this to my application server and then runs the .forEach() there. Please tell me if I understood this correctly.
@subhamray12034 жыл бұрын
Yes my friend, you got it right. This way there is less load on the database server and retrieving data becomes super easy!
