@@applecakelover419 Nope. Here in the UK too! Closing fire stations. Bought some new trucks. They were considered "more capable" so they cut the number of trucks and men! Bastardos don't understand one truck can only be at ONE incident at a time! Also you need men on the deck! They also expect firefighters to work to 60! Any 60 year olds fancy still doing that job? I stopped firefighting a long time ago. I am still fitter than most men my age that I know. I couldn't do it again day after day. Politicians know the price of everything and the value of nothing! Scumbags the lot of them!

Even though he was only in this scene for a few seconds, you gotta love how the senator just absolutely OWNED Gail. First, he cuts her off before she can butter him up, then he changes the narrative of the situation so that instead of her closing a firehouse, she’s trying to save it, and then bails as quickly as he can before she can get another word in. Doing a count of Gail’s dialogue, she gets in 7 words during her interaction with the senators, and doesn’t say anything meaningful. Isabel was right. Gail was swimming in different waters and got eaten alive. Absolute MASTERCLASS from the senator here

When I saw the neighbourhood come out to save the firehouse I had just watched the clip from when they did their best to save the child from the laundry chute but in the end he passed away and they gave him a formal firefighter goodbye/send-off and when I saw the mom come out to rally to save the firehouse, I immeadiately burst into tears.

@@simply.stvrlightt I somewhat disagree, when you think about it really it provided money and jobs for the local economy, made it easier for children to learn a vital life skill and of course encourages a lot of fitness activity. Whilst saving lives with a firehouse is more important yes, I wouldn't deny the benefits of a local swimming pool for people to go to at all. Not to mention people who are too scared to exercise at a gym because of body image issues would usually prefer to go to a swimming pool.
