All overdeveloped All over the AONB All over ancient woodlands All over the heads of Hawkhurst's own residents.

Kent...the Garden of England...ha ha!! Concrete Jungle more like... In this case the development will include a relief road which provides no relief whatsoever - just adds another 600 to 800 cars with all the pollution etc that brings How is the destruction of ancient woodlands consistent with Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty policy??? Depressing how these huge estates are cropping up everywhere...I know we need housing but we also need a new model other than these huge developers plonking huge high density estates where there is no commensurate infrastructure like schools and GP services...kiss you're quality of life goodbye...never to be reversed....

Not Just Hawkhurst sadly,..but loads and loads of houses being built against peoples wishes,..reducing a once green and pleasant land into one large sewage outlet, of identicle eyesores blotting the horizon. all so that some rabid grubby developer can make a financial killing through rural vandalism, ...the houses they build up to 6 bedroom , are never going to be cheap,..all the while up to some 200,000 homeless children are forced to live in converted shipping containers, if you don't believe me, look it up! .i'm finished with this country, and am ashamed to think i was born and brought up here.

I feel the development for the village is long overdue. Yes it’s sad seeing places like this go, and areas I used to play as a child have now become housing just past Dickens way, but we have to accept their is a housing crisis in this country, you have to look at the bigger picture! Look at Marden that’s getting thousands of new homes but no new infrastructure least our village getting additional roads to help curb the awful queues that occur at that junction. But Hawkhurst has the ability to cope with a variety of supermarkets and shops. Yes the closure of the banks is a bit short sited but new ones may open. People complain there isn’t any housing but then when a developer says “right I’ll build some houses over a golf course, mostly open area with some small woodland here and there” you all lose your minds. Stop living in the past and stop being scared of change
