Great video Tom and Alan. This is the sort of video that an average angler like me wants to see, be good to see similar priced poles put next to each other, G90, Aero X5, Superium X70 etc.

Ayup Alan can you show us some poles that would be suitable for barbel fishing on the Trent ,it seems to be a method that's catching on so it'd be nice to know what poles would be suitable and the elastic to use , not precise but ball park matey 😁

It's a shame so few companies, with the notable exception of Daiwa, don't offer their better poles at 13m. For those of us who don't fish at extreme lengths, 13m is all we need. It's annoying to have to buy the two expensive butt sections that you will rarely if ever use if you want a high end pole. I know some cheaper poles are nice at 13m, but high end poles are even nicer.

I like the set up you have there, it would of been great to use that when i bought my pole. Also, i couldnt agree more, i have an mtx2, i had a tight budget and limited options, maver mvr, preston x400, oculus 799 and a few others but i rarely fish more 13m so decided the mtx2 was the best option due to top kits being universal across the range, espcially as i can go and buy an mtx power or mtx margin that comes with 3 or 4 top kits and spare 3 and 4 for less than 300/400.

Interesting but elasticated with the Dolly butt so nearer 13m would have been a better comparison.

Didn't look any difference in any of them to me . Never been to this shop as its nowhere near me , but love this fellas honesty and would go there if it was.
