I'm always looking to save money when traveling, but I had no idea could have saved so much by doing winter shopping IN Mongolia! What do you all think of these markets? Mongolians are always shopping here and saving so much!

Wow, so if you visit Mongolia, you need to bring an empty suitcase? There's so much cool stuff I'd probably have to buy, including that mouth-harp and some other trinkets I probably don't need but want!
@francoismarc3
@francoismarc3 7 ай бұрын
Hahahah I always have bags full of stuff I don't need too hahah. But seriously, you can buy so many things in Mongolia at cheaper prices than in the US or Korea. An empty suitcase is really all you need and an empty stomach!!! Hahaha The mouth instrument was cool though, right?

He brother, great video as always i really enjoy watching your journey in mongolia. I really want to get out there myself for about to weeks to go to the gym and learn more about The Khan and their culture as the history regarding Genghis Khan is really motivating to me and just cool haha. do nyou have any insights or experiences with gyms or gym culture in mongolia?
@francoismarc3
@francoismarc3 6 ай бұрын
Hey there and thanks for your support! Hmmm, I'm not sure about the gym culture there, but I haven't seen that many people going to the gym. However, there are gyms there! If you come to Mongolia, I wish you could stay for three weeks, as two weeks is not enough time to really enjoy the country! If you ever need any tours or anything, let me know and I can yet you a discount!!

Just in case if you didn't know, in Mongolia they're celebrating Lunar New Year ( basically a culture from China ig) and it's called Tsagaan Sar ( white moon ) it's a traditional way to give gifts for the invitées and we also greet the elders and the others while holding thier arms from the bottom if they're older or putting your arms on top if you're the older one. And we also have our way to count the 12 years by animals and this year is a Dragon year.🐉 And socks are known for often given gifts.
@tuluii

3:14 it's hard to say they're bread, in Mongolia we just call it Boov ( a bun ) and it's also a traditional way to decorate the table and we eat it after celebrating.

Hey, thanks for sharing that information! Unfortunately, I'm not in Mongolia during the White Moon, but I will be next year!

Woah, it's also used as a decoration? I never heard of that before...Very interesting culture, indeed!

The history of Tsagaan Sar starts way back from the 13th century, as we can read about it from The Secret History of the Mongols and you think Tsagaan sar is a culture from China??? This festival is one of the most important holidays in Mongolia. As a country that has harsh, cold and long winter, Tsagaan Sar is a heart-warming celebration for the arrival of spring. The traditional Mongol calendar is a lunisolar calendar based on Tegus Buyantu zurkhai system developed in 1747 by monk Ishbaljir. So it is not even exact same Lunar calendar that China uses...

It not really a black market it just a cheaper way to buy things and yes people do pick pocket because there's no police or any security because how big it is and that is why you don't see any strong security is there so basically it so big that police don't bother with it
