If I had to guess why the Leader smirked when Jinwoo volunteered as an E-rank, it was because he was cool and calm. The dungeons are run like military Ops and it’s easier to execute if your weakest link doesn’t break formation. This way a calm and collected E rank that follows orders will likely have higher odds of success than an insecure C rank that could make mistakes.

In the first episode, despite how close Jinwoo was with everyone in his team, most of them ended up leaving him for dead in the dungeon due to being an E Rank, either because of self-preservation or they don’t have a choice. But this squad? They are all willing to sacrifice themselves just to give Jinwoo the chance to escape, all believing that he is actually an E-Rank, despite the fact that they don’t know him at all. Man, I love the complete flip between these two squads.

It makes sense why the mages specifically but not the healer, or anyone else could see through his Stealth. Mage classes in general have higher Int, and Perception which are the main stats in RPG's that make it easier to both cast spells, and choose which spells to use. Fighters are more specialized into Strength, Dex, and HP, and Healers are speced higher into Int, and Vit.

Theory time: 1. Cha described Sung smelling good unlike other hunters. 2. The Ice Elf Boss described hearing a voice that tells them to kill Humans but they don't hear that voice for Sung. 3. This new boss has a diverse and massive army of orcs and wolves (Similar to Sung's army of Igris' Knights + Tank's Polar bears) I think the "Game" is grooming Sung Jinwoo to become a massive Dungeon Boss for some reason.

Hey Jami so here's a bit of something for you and I promise I won't be spoiling anything. So this will be just a fun fact. Cha Hae In is very sensitive with mana level and she manifest that through her sense of smell. Meaning, the more powerful the hunter is, the higher the mana level the stinkier it gets for Cha (it gets even stinkier if it is out for blood). Now, this was not confirmed by anything but the reason why Sung Jinwoo smells nicer for Cha is because unlike any other hunters whose mana were given to kill the magical beasts, Jinwoo on the other hand, his mana is blessed.. I'll leave it here for you to figure out why.. but that sums it up why he smells different.. PS. It has nothing to do with him being a player..

Only season 3 is where I personally think the story falls off, where sung gets way too strong and the power creep becomes real. The entire first half the manwha hyped up S ranks and National Ranks but by the time we see the national ranks in action they either get obliterated or sung is just far far stronger. Like there’s so many really cool S ranks that just get fodderized for the sake of showing off how strong Jin woo gets. It ends up getting bland and boring.
