I crying as I'm listening to this. My late husband and I had this song played at our wedding. We also had the privilege of meeting Jani Lane backstage after the band performed In Modesto. My husband had found Jani's wallet after Jani had stage dived into the crowd. The only thing that Jani wanted back was the photo he had in there of his daughter. My husband returned the wallet with everything still in it

This song is absolutely perfect for Jani's range. Great job. Such a tragedy he couldn't kick his demons. He was a MAJOR talent. Senseless death. RIP Jani

Jani was one of the BEST songwriters from that era. I really miss him.

Jani was a very under appreciated talent. Back in the late 80's diehard metal heads made fun of Warrant. I wonder how things would have turned out if people appreciated his talent when he was living.

this was probably last of his amazing performances,he was sober here,no doubt about it!!6 years, missed deeply! some of us did know his talent, not just in warrant :) but u are sadly true...

I believe it would have made the difference between life and death... He felt hated by the industry.. all he heard was the negative voices.. so sad the depression that made him dive into the bottle that killed him.

I had the honor of meeting him. He bought me a beer at the bar and we talked for about an hour. Yes very what a great guy I wanted to him at 18 in a band which I was the frount man. Jani RIP

Same here although I hold him in such reverence I would have been telling everybody to shut up instead of singing along. His voice and singing style is perfect to me. It's how I want to sound and like to sing the songs I make

I agree. All these years later and my heart is still broken as well. When I watch this video I wonder where is everyone. When I like at the views for his Heaven Video there were 50 million and 50k comments. After Cherry Pie his so called fans started to fade away. It must have been devastating for him.

I saw this tour and Jani was amazing! The band was tight, and sounded great! There was a local band that opened for them, and when Great White finished up the opening band played again in the bar. So long story short, these guys play Down Boy's and Jani came in the bar and sang it with them. Just amazing to see that this man would take the time and come in and do that and sing with these guys! The dude was an incredible talent, an so underrated. RIP Jani...

I honestly feel so bad for Jani, he was such a great songwriter and when it came down to it in the end after everyone labeling him as the cherry pie guy he ends up singing other bands cover tunes, although it didnt matter what he sang he always put his heart and soul into it. RIP Jani.

I truly with all my being hope Jani knew how much he was admired, loved and appreciated. If he didn't than I apologize to him as his fan. I let him down and didn't do my job as his fan to let him know.

I would encourage any one who appreciates your music to try and look up your contributions to LIBERTY N JUSICE RECORDING also Your band Saints of the Underground -Love the Sinner, Also your Solo EP of covers Photograph and Back Down to One. I really am hooked on your Saints stuff with my friend Bobby "Blotz" Blotter. Jamming it right now. R.I.P. J.O.K. You will always be the "Song and Dance Man"

I read somewhere that Jack had a very serious issue with his vocal cords. So Jani stepped in to help finish the tour dates. Jani is amazing. I certainly hope Jack's condition isn't serious. Just glad Jani was able to rock it out...not that I expected less. Jani may have had some set backs but he is a true talent in the industry and always has been.

I believe this was the Flesh and Blood Tour... I agree Warrant was young and hungry... warrant brought soooo much energy... especially Jani.... saw this tour in Philly and Jani mooned the audience... and if anyone recalls... Warrant got booted from the tour after the first leg... because Poison was not happy they were getting showed up, and many a fans came to see Warrant not Poison.... they were also trying to give Warrant less stage to work with all the time... I think Cherry Pie was just hitting and Warrant was HOT during this part of the MTV era... Poison on the other hand, we’re having CC issues, you could see the tension on stage with them during this period, and they really looked spent and distant... definitely very underrated band and songwriters.

I was Jani's senior by 3 years. Wish I could have been there for him as a friend and a shoulder for him to lean upon. It's the California scene that did him in, not solely the alcohol. Sometimes you need to know when to go/come home for awhile.

Jani was a unbelievable frontman and very underrated talent. I was fortunate to see Warrant headline with Firehouse and Trixte,r for the Blood Sweat and Beers tour for the cherry pie album. But even more so when I was able to hangout with him at a club show for the Dog Eat Dog album. Thanks for the autographs and guitar pics. Truly a Awesome 🤘😎🤘 and amazing guy such a BIG loss.I still to this day tear up when I hear one of your songs. R.I.P fly with the angels Bro. My first time seeing and hearing this song!!!! I'm so sad to learn Jani Lane is gone!!!!! I looked him up and saw some video's he did in Warrant band. He was definitely a really, really good lead singer and excellent song writer!!!!!! I loved seeing him play guitar too!!!!!! His vocal sound is incredibly damn good!!!!!! I write song's too and work a full time job so I can relate to some of what I've read about him battling demons. It's so hard and a pain most don't understand, it's really and truly deep within. I wish so much I could've attended his show's but didn't know about him back then and I was younger. Does Great White still tour and was their lead singer, Jack able to come back and sing as their lead singer or did his vocal problems end his singing career? I'm new with these band's, sorry, please forgive me. RIP Jani Lane, how I wished I'd seen your live performances, you was truly a great singer, songwriter and guitarist!!!!!! Thank you for sharing this video, it was an honor to see it!!!!!!!!!

The 80s and 90s were such an incredible time for culture period but being a music fanatic I have to say that it was such a fu*king amazing era for music. The rock ballad era for sure, and there were some artists that really had their names stamped in the 80s rock hall of fame and will always be remembered and loved. Jani Lane was a phenomenal song writer. My all time favorite will always be Uncle Toms Cabin. My god that song showcases true talent. Anyways I loved your comment so I had to comment on your comment. Haha!!
