Mikayla Raines of SaveAFox Rescue finds a loving home for Todd the Red Fox. Todd was with our animal rescue for almost two years. He cost a pretty penny in medical bills, but we aren't complaining! We are so thankful to have found Todd such a loving and responsible forever home! Here at SaveAFox Rescue, the sooner we can place our rescue animals, the sooner we can provide the room for another. After watching the video, I just can't understand why so many people think Todd won't enjoy his new home. Do these people not even watch the videos on SaveAFox channel? Or not understand that even at SaveAFox, the foxes don't just live in huge open areas 24/7. One only group has access to their yard at a time, the others are kept in smaller enclosures like the one shown at Todd's new home. Obviously he has a bigger area to enjoy later, AFTER he's gotten used to his new home. Come on, the adopters even say in the video that they spent years looking for a big area, and 1 acre wasn't enough. THAT is proof of much they care for their animals, they wanted a fox for a long time now, and they were willing to wait until they were ready to properly take care of one. That's what Mikayla has said several times in her videos, about the requirements she has for anyone trying to adopt a fox. She makes sure the adopters can provide what a fox needs. You need to understand how long it took SaveAFox to be able to provide that much space for their foxes, they had to start with a single area and slowly improve on it over time. After having watched so many videos on this channel, I think Todd will do fine in his new home. He has a smaller enclosure to sleep in, like he's used to in his previous home, but there's also a bigger yard to run around in. Most important of all, his new family fully understands his medical situation, and they're still happy to adopt him.

Bladder stones are no joke. My brothers cat's surgery was almost 5 thousand bucks and it was either that or euthanize. My brother is suicidal and has a strong connection to his cat so we had to go to drastic measures to get the money for the surgery. Anytime someone mentiones bladder stones in an animal my heart sinks. I'm so glad this beautiful fox is alive and well today. ❤️

Since everyone is commenting about the enclosure size and maybe didn't see SaveAFox's response, here it is in one of the comment chains: "That is the cage size requirement for people to adopt. No one else has fox yards like we do. If we made that a requirement we would have no adoptions. If we run out of people to adopt. Less foxes get rescued. Todd being adopted, allowed another foxes life to be saved. This place IS the best place for foxes to be. If I had the funds where capacity and lack of staff wasn't a issue. I'd never adopt and all the foxes would get large spaces. I can't do everything."

The most difficult part of any rescue has got to be the eventual parting, and hoping that the vetting process was thorough enough. To be able to trust that someone will take as good care of them as you did, although a decision informed by an application process, background checks, and home visits took place, must STILL be a huge leap of faith. Many folks probably don't know the full extent of their own ability to "walk the walk" with caring for this species, and that it's a lifestyle of sorts not for everyone. I never stop being impressed with Macayla's ability to carry a working mental record of all the different personalities, health issues, special needs, and etc of her many many rescues. She makes it look so easy. One thing which surprised me about Todd's adoption however, is the concept of moving him to a new home where there were no companion animals. I'm really curious is there's an intent to pair him with another fox for the sake of the emotional health of both. It would seem that in the absence of human attention, he'd be lonely and bored without companionship. I've seen several videos of a house trained fox who spent all of his time with two dogs. In a way, the dogs kept this young fox busy and out of trouble. Anyway, his new home is really beautiful. I hope the finished product that couple is making includes a farm with lots of other animals who will surround Todd in his new home and keep him emotionally stimulated. A happy ending for EVERYONE!

Todd is the sweetest boy, just saw him on IG and check how he's doing and he's doing pretty well with his owners. He looked sickly here because he shed those fur coat. The people complaining how small his space is, but Todd gets to move out and go inside their house. I saw they even have dogs. Mikayla makes sure to check everything first before having those foxes adopted and once a fox adopted, another foxes' lives will be saved from the fur farm.

That is a real fine thing for them to do for Todd Fox. Considering the lifespan of a fox, for him to have such care and love is a luxury. This fine couple will probably be parents to many foxes over 20, 40 years. God Bless them for making the commitment.

Robin Kroe Todd was never able to be kept with other foxes. He is aggressive with other foxes and will attack them.

Of course they do! They said in the video that they thought one acre of space wouldn't be the right fit for the fox. There's a time for a fox to live in an enclosure, and a time for them to be let out to explore. Like in the wild, they stay in their dens, but go outside.

If you pay attention, Todd’s new space is the same size if not a little bigger than the kennels the foxes live in at Saveafox. He wouldn’t be let out for a few weeks to a couple months anyway because he’s got to learn where his new home is, but they have plenty of space to put up fencing later. For all we know they’ve got a big yard on the other side of the house that we can’t see from the camera. He’s fine. All these people freaking out in the comments are annoying. Thinking the worst of people they don’t even know.

Minnesota Department of Resources, Rice County,MN Sheriff, United States Department of Agriculture (Fur farm lic) and the Humane Society of America. Its a pandemic, investigations have slowed dramatically, but Im pretty confident with the enforcement priority given the nature of the fraud level. Its international as they are collecting funds from ALL currencies worldwide. That falls into The Federal Trade Commission, its serious!

SaveAFox has mentioned it in replying to comments, but Todd is more aggressive than the others. He had to keep alone, because he attacks any other fox in his enclosure. So no, they will not be giving Todd a partner. He likes being a loner.
