Ladies and Gentlemen, as always, thank you for watching. I have been reluctant to make this request, but I must. Unless you are calling the shop for business purposes, PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE SHOP TO SPEAK WITH ME. I understand that people want to speak with me and I am working on ways to make that happen, but it cannot be through the shop phone lines. We have a business to run and the number of phone calls of people asking to speak with me regarding KZbin have reached a level where they are disruptive to our business. If you want me to continue making videos, I have to be able to do my job. When I'm at work I have to focus on my job. Please don't misunderstand me. I appreciate all my viewers and, as I said, I am working on ways to to involve my viewers and give them an opportunity to speak with me. I want to continue making videos. I plan to do some LIVE videos and I welcome suggestions anyone may have. So, I respectfully ask that you please do not call the shop unless you need our business services. I pray that you will understand and not take offense by this request. Thanks for watching and God bless.

Or, get an e-mail account for personal comments. Something to go through when you have free time. Or even set up a facebook group for discussions. But, you cannot have us getting in the way of making your daily dollar. And, I understand that some people may not see the difference between your KZbin recreation and your daily business. So, no need to feel awkward about making this request.

@@bobmazzi7435 There's another channel I watch "South Main Auto Repair LLC" and he has the exact same issue. People calling his garage all the time during and after work hours. Except they call to ask him an incredibly ling question hoping he'll give them the help they want. Regardless of what he does, there's always selfish people out there (Plus the disrespect) to think it's acceptable to call the person's business for a "chat" or to get advice on an issue that they can do some research on themselves. The annoying thing about it, they're all adults. Some people just need to learn/realise that they're not that important. And, that guy's like Ron are trying to run a business. It's pretty sad to be honest.

I feel exactly the same way as Nique Veron feels. I am a senior and find these fascinating. I worked 30 years in aircraft maintenance and am retired. I was telling my friends about your videos at dinner last week after church. One of my friends asked me if I was planning on starting a towing business. I have crazy friends! On the way home from dinner I was behind a semi. I looked at the back and thought to myself that the bumper was no place to hook a strap! I guess I have learned a lot from watching these! Thanks for educating me. I am one of your believing watchers.

Hello Ron. Just a litle tip, if you have a chargeable flashlight in a permanent mounted charger you can put in a tiny microswitch and a litle beeper. Then when you take the flashlight out it starts to give a beep until you put the light back in the Mount. I put a several of this in ouer recovery trucks when i was working in that business. It`s much cheaper than bying New flashlights. Keep up the good work, stay safe and God Bless you all. Best regards from Teddy in Norway.

@RonPratt
@RonPratt 5 жыл бұрын
@@ColdSteelCharger I guess I missed the bottle. I can't say if alcohol was a factor in this crash. It is not uncommon in our area for pickup beds to have at least a few empty beer bottles in them. Bottles/cans also get thrown from vehicles everywhere around here. Could have been completely unrelated, but again, I would only be speculating, because I do not know. I own the exact same truck, same configuration. Knew right away it was a total loss, just because of the fact that I backed into a tiny sapling at less than walking speed years back, and caused $2,200 worth of damage. It creased the box right over the rear axle on both sides, requiring an hour on a frame machine. Remember Chevy's old slogan, "Like a Rock" ? Today it should be, "Like a Beer Can" ... 😂 Anyway, glad the driver walked away from that one! The Lord works in mysterious ways! I believe He placed it dangling there not just for the family, but for all of us out here on KZbin, especially those whose faith has been tested. I read your post in another comment about the back story of that necklace - I believe that says it all right there. Every so often He gives us little reminders that He's always watching over us, every minute, every second. I need those reminders more often than I should. REALLY glad you posted this one, Ron! THANK YOU and God bless! 😎

Beer can, LOL .... If you read my post on here I'm not very fond of Chevys, however my buddy just got a new 2018 dealer's demo car, a Chevrolet Equinox with very low millage. I had to bite my lip and tell him what a nice car it was, & true fully it was nice, however he knows how I feel about GM as a whole. He went to leave and it would not start, the battery was totally dead. I jumped it with my "Snap On Charger" and got it running for him, and the battery did take a charge, however a few days later it went dead again. He went back to the dealer where he got the car, and they installed a new battery, gave him the battery but charged for installation as that is not a warranty item they told him. I kind of felt they should have replaced the battery with their best at no charge, but I don't make the rules. Other than that, it's been running well and he and his wife and 4 year old little boy likes the car. I think the battery was simply a fluke thing that could happen in any car at any time. He had been driving a old Chevy van, that nothing worked in hardly, and when the engine started knocking is when he purchased the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, a difference between night and day for him. I'm happy he's in a nice vehicle now that is probably as reliable as any other newer car, and more over a lot of safety items to protect his family should the car (god forbid) get in an accident.

I've got to say however that the tator got that particular job done in about a third of the time it would have taken with say a Holmes 500. I've found the secret to always having a flashlight is simply to purchase enough of them and leave them around that anywhere I am, one or several happen to be there. The other half, of course, is keeping a big pile of batteries around too: The technical definition of a flashlight is "a place to store dead batteries". Thanks for another great video.

I think you are most likely correct about that James. It was still on the step at the 16:03 mark, and I did not see anyone take it off that step. Therefore I also believe it fell off the step while in transit. The problem is that it might have stayed there for any length of time, so the search area might be extensive, and therefore make the expense of searching for it too costly as compared to buying another one.

I think you may have to look into seeing if you need a license to go fishing for trucks, cars, and motorbikes in anything that looks like a ditch, ravine, gully, or even swampland. Ron - My brother had a suggestion for situations like this and I thought I'd pass it along... Put a sign on the shoulder of the road with an arrow pointing towards the wrecked vehicle: FOR SALE CHEAP DELIVERY NOT AVAILABLE

Loved how when just before you rolled it after attaching the chains and walked back around the car, people started to scatter like ants lol

If you think of it, it’s actually kind of crazy if people walk away from a major crash with small or no injuries. It makes ya think about how did they survive that.

Ron, curiousity killed the cat. Can the outriggers lift the rotator off the ground if needed? If yes, how high? (High enough to change tires or install tire chains for example). Awesome video.

Yes, the outriggers are designed to, and are fully capable of, lifting the truck completely off the ground. Without placing anything under the outriggers the system will lift the tires approximately 1 foot off the ground. Thanks for watching and God bless.

As always, another great video, and thank you for it. Ongoing prayers for you and all at Midwest. So many times, I've noticed how conditions and elements add much to the hazards of the task. I'm very sorry for the loss of your spotlight! I've also noticed that you use good equipment, and I'm sure its replacement wasn't cheap. Again, thank you for the videos. Many Blessings to you all at Midwest.

That sucks you lost and had to replace your bright flashlight. That's what happens when you give Talon the night off, he isn't there to grab the light before getting in the passenger's seat.. :P

You have your beliefs and I have mine. This is not a channel for theological debate. This channel is open to ALL belief systems and we DO NOT put others down. I don't ask that you believe as I do. If you notice, I posed this as a question, not a statement. Something to think about.

Ron, I wasn't being combative. No reason for you to do so either. Just simply leaving a comment for thought. I appreciate the response, and I still watch all your videos for recovery tips. As a Jeep owner, I end up using my winch more often than not, and tips I've gleaned from you have saved me multiple times from bad rigging.
