Rebuke it AND do the work to heal. Meditate on the word of God and cry out to God. God will heal the root of depression- and studying the word, worship, pray and even counseling for some really lead us to total healing. I am in a process of being healed from lots of grief and loss- which at times can feel depressing. I had to learn not only to come against depression, but also to let God love on me through His word and presence and even counseling has been great accountability.

I can definitely relate. A lot of apostolic churches are like this because they base a lot of doctrine out of the Old Testament, where God “punishes” instead of convicts by the Holy Spirit with love. I still struggle with this and learning to discern the difference between an unhealthy fear and right fear of God.
@GUURL1014 жыл бұрын

@@qb2576 yep I grew up Apostolic/Pentecostal so you already know I went through it!! I found so much freedom in Jesus. Not freedom to sin, absolutely not. I still believe the whole Bible cover to cover. But I’m now understanding more the character of God, he doesn’t hate me and he’s not always angry with me. He loves me. When I make a mistake I repent and turn to him because it’s as if I hurt my closest friend I could ever have. God is so different from what I grew up understanding and it’s no wonder I wasn’t as close to him growing up. I was scared of everything.

Sorry beloved but if we love God and desires to live a life pleasing to Our heavenly FATHER He will takes all the things that it’s not His, stop letting people lead y’all the wrong way. Let the Holy Spirit teach you guide you. I know I was in the lowest part of my life I use to drink to mask what I was going through sleep all the time so I don’t have to face reality. I was unhappy sad depressed wanted to commit suicide I just wanted to die. The Almighty Father didn’t want me to die in my sins or die without knowing Him in the Spiritual way. He allows me to seek Him with every Fiber of my beings and He divinely change me in the blink of an eye the depression the sadness everything that didn’t please Him the FATHER took those away from me. So When the FATHER dwells in us all these abomination like depression unforgiveness hate sadness fornication etc etc is not apart of us anymore. He cleanse us from all that. At times it feels like the walk can be overwhelming especially in the beginning until I read and studied Psalm 24. Of course God want us to walk, live and act right but he also know we could never be perfect. Therefore, he sent his son to save us.I feel better now and just keep studying the bible.

This is real talk, and we need more of it in the body of Christ. I have struggled with depression for many years. I'm a Leader in the church and I was ashamed to say that I was hurting. I walked around with a mask on pretending that all was good, until I could barely hang on. That was in 2014. I truly think God for my Mother in The Ministry 🙏, I thank God for The Sisterhood Ministry,. They did not allow me to die in the pit. As women of God we need to stop being jealous of one another's hair and clothes and shoes and cars, etc. Yes sister could be spiritually dying sitting right there beside you and you never notice because of jealousy. It's funny what god with birth out of you when you were in a pit. God 🙏 birth a play out of me, he birth a poem, and so many other things. Women I've got all around the world take off your masks, and cry out to God for help you will deliver you he will bring you through with a song in your heart , a clap in your hand, a dancing your feet, and praise in your mouth. I am no longer a shame of dealing with depression. I can help others because I have been there and still struggle some days. We need more platforms where Christians can be honest and say that they are struggling in different areas and not be condemned but shown love and mercy. I think each and every one of you for this topic for being real for being transparent. Again I like to emphasize that you love on your sisters not tear them down,, because even as Christians we all still struggle in different areas.

Many people in the Bible like David and Job suffered from what sounded like depression. I think key to them overcoming it was not breaking communication with God, be it prayer or reading scripture. Even in despair, you always find comfort and hope, it maybe fleeting by hope nonetheless, when praying and reading the Word because you’re reminded that God is in control. For some of us depression is a constant thorn we might live with all our lives, but His grace is sufficient and that’s all we need 🙏🏾

We are not perfect to what the world deem as perfect but according to the scriptures we are to be perfect in Him. My question to people who say they Love God and you make Him you number one, How can one still suffer with depression sadness un worthiness etc etc? After we seek Him with our whole heart mind body and soul His Holy Spirit dwells in us and all those abominable things are taken from us. We can’t walk with Him and still walk in darkness it just don’t go together. What people problem is they listen to mare mortal instead of the breath of life the Holy Spirit that dwells in us. He is our teacher our motivator our comforter our helper our way maker. So in the midst of this chaotic world we finds Peace and Love within and not let the things of this world even financial struggles because from experience He sustains until He answers prayers . From we becomes alert as we awaken His is our Inspiration because He gives us a other day to make it better than it was yesterday in other words everyday we reach HighYah and HighYah in Him. But until we put away the flesh people will continue in anything that’s not pleasing to Him.

This is such a real conversation and I’m so glad you guys had it. It’s actually really nice to hear the transparency of Angelica being the founder of the shade room, but also Christian. She has a beautiful story to tell. I pray she grows closer and closer to God🙏🏽

My heart goes out to anyone struggling with depression. Please reach out to someone you trust. Do not suffer in silence. " Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit " Romans 15:13 God loves you ❤️!! No matter what God is there . Even if you feel far from him , he is waiting for you to call him. Hope you have a wonderful day ! Love ya fam !

Great talk ladies! To God be the Glory... We are to desire His will
@mean0074 жыл бұрын
I believe focusing on God’s word and using it as your blueprint will get you closer to Him. As humans we get depressed when unpleasant things happen or when there is delay of an expectation, we sometimes feel like God’s not there or well it’s just life. But He is there, and these depressing situations are intended to build our spiritual muscles and bring us closer to Him.

Hey Queens, That's why we dont put our tongue o ppl to the point we cause ppl to stumble and fall. Ppl go through enough and to have to deal with slander and rumors and humiliation and mental trauma everyday is way too much. We need to pray for ppl and show ppl we care about their situation and help them out of their situation.

Sharing now @27:52… ohhhhhh, weeee. JUST had that in my spirit after talking with my sis about her relationship and that’s EXACTLY her logic. Thanks Adrienne. I REALLY wanted u to finish that thought tho, cuz sometimes the LORD won’t take the desire away cuz u need to give it away if it’s not aligned with His Will for you Ur life (which u need the gift of wisdom and a pure heart to even see)- that’s His logic…different from ours. So beyond ecstatic for your union in Christ. I remember you in your 20s before the Real and in 3LW. Major moves sis. Peace and blessings to your sincere growth in God #1!!! Love it

This is deep! And this really blessed me. You got to be real with God every time! He knows you ain't perfect and he wants to help you overcome that and give you his strength. This is a very beautiful message and surely saves one from 'being performance-driven', which ultimately leads to depression because you feel you aren't were you should be or you aren't at that bar folks expect of you. At some point, in talking about the character of God and how you just keep loving him even when you don't get what you want, it brought tears to my eyes. God is really real and good even when we don't get 'it' or 'that' and even when we don't understand it at all. Thank you Stephanie Ike and Angelica Nwandu and Adrienne Houghton. You are a lovely host Stephanie, I love the way you drove through the conversation taking us back to definite things about God. You are really beautiful in Him.

@31:52 🙌🏾👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 A WHOLE WORD, Ms. Nwandu!!!!!!! I can’t picture it because my desires do change. Every time I ask, they change. I wouldn’t pray them away cuz I got to a point that I just knew he would take them or change them cuz he always does. But for some ppl, I know it doesn’t happen like that. That’s a very healthy response to what doesn’t change

EXCUSE ME BUT 60 IS THE NEW 40!! IF YOU TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. YOU CAN BE FABULOUS AT 60 AND BEYOND!! JUST SAYING!!!
@CarolynYouman594 жыл бұрын
I, SO DO AGREE THAT 60 YEAR OLD IS THE NEW 40! HOW CAN SO MANY YOUNG FEMALE FEMALES ALWAYS WANT TO THROW NUMBERS TO CONFINE THEIR POINT OF THEIR VIEW. 60 YEAR OLD GET MARRY ALSO. I JUST DID OFFICIATED A WEDDING AND THE MARRY BRIDE WAS 60 YEARS OF AGE HER NEW HUSBAND IS 65 WAS. Both of Them Have HIGH ENERGY. How can we look down at 60 when the President Elected JOE BIDEN is now 78 he will be turning 82 in the competition of his four year term of Presidency. EVEN PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP IS IN HIS LATE 70 and the both of these men are running a country and international political arrangements when it comes to America and the new laws and the effect of what goes on in other countries that can definitely effect our lives from other countries. This is ridiculous why do some of these young panels ever have a mix panel with age. I been watching this on KZbin and other social media outlets that many if these panels are not interested in the opinion of mature women and it shows because they are never having 50 or 60 years old on their panels of discussion. This is age Prejudice Against the seniors who are still active and living and building new Careers and have wisdom to share with greater understanding of knowledge to share but being stop Due to the lack of mix age group s of panels that don’t want to here the mature point of views.

@@CarolynYouman59 So many cougar & more age mature women are approached by men of our age & by younger men too these days!!! I really would have loved to be part of this conversation. I got married in my 30s but you know how society especially the African society thinks that is late. I remember failed relationships that I thought were perfect and I was gut-wrenched when they ended, then I found God but still had the pain and depression about all the failings I had had. I remember asking God to literally take away the desires for those things, transform me and make everything from my mind, memory feelings etc new and make me like a brand new child. He did, I felt like a new person, and then voila, he brought me my Mr. Perfect. Good indeed has the best plans for us, IRA just that we never understand them or when they will unfold and in the waiting process, we literally feel like we won't survive the pain.
