#SaveSudanLions 🦁 🇸🇩 🦁 : This was a nerve-racking struggle… but it was totally worth it!
We had to wait a while to tell you about the last, crucial, and final part of the rescue of the two lions, Kandaka and Mansour, until we were absolutely sure that it would work out this time.
This mission took years of effort and came with multiple challenges, but we never gave up. Due to a cooperation project between the Princess Alia Foundation and FOUR PAWS, we found a way and brought them to the Al Ma'wa sanctuary🌳 in Jordan.

When I first heard of the plight of Kandaka and Mansour, it was a miracle they survived. But thanks to the incredible Four Paws I knew the lions had a chance for a new life. Email updates of their rescue and relocation to Jordan thrilled me, and to watch this video of wonderful people coming together to help these precious lions has made me so happy. The total size of their enclosure is almost 9300 square meters and currently they have access to 2500 square meters to accommodate step by step to their new home! Al Ma´wa for Nature & Wildlife is a cooperation project between the Princess Alia Foundation and FOUR PAWS in Jordan since 2011. It provides a regional solution for rescued wild animals and offers emergency relief to animals from crisis areas in the Middle East.
