15 hours to PREPARE to make the suit... I see why they're pricey! Lucky that suits fit me pretty well off the rack, and I don't really wear suits 😄

It varies like if it’s a complicated cloth than it can take the piss, also depends on what style the customer wants. It can take upwards to 15 hours easy again each suit has its own prices.

A bespoke suit usually takes around 40 hours in total to be finished.

A Savile Row suit starts at around £3,000 with an average price of about £5,000.

Actually, for bespoke Savile Row suits, the starting prices are £1,800 (minimum), £5,400 (top) and £3,600 (average). For bespoke English suits that are not Savile Row, the starting prices are £1,200 (minimum), £3,600 (top) and £2,400 (average).

The craftsmanship and attention to detail, especially from someone of this caliber, should be commanding at least $6-10K(pending on the material of course) for a suit.

10k? lol. Cifonelli is a league above and they start from 5.5K. Plus it’s all hand work. Cifonelli are one of the few, if not only, tailoring house to not use sewing machines whatsoever. They’ve got two machines in their atelier that’s doing nothing but collecting dust.

Mr Sedwell I'm from Memphis,Tn, USA I know I probably can't afford your well bespoke suits but my question is how long does the sleeve on my jacket suppose to be. I would love to show my cufflinks . My tailor makes my sleeve almost to my wrist. Is that a correct fit?

The amount of cuffs to show is usually related to the amount of shirt collar visible at the back of the neck. But this can vary according to your personal taste. Quite often tailors make sleeves that are too long because of the amount the sleeves ride up the arm when wearing. This is a fault of the armhole on the sleeves being too deep. Ideally, showing between 1/4 '' and 1/2'' is most popular.

Everything is worth what people are prepared to pay. In this case, they are prepared to pay a premium for added value. Work out the "cost per wear", a Maurice Sedwell suit is probably something of a bargain.
