Just won a small fortune in the lottery and the first thing I did was adopted 4 dogs from my local shelter, I'm hoping to start my own dog farm where I can take in stray dogs. You're such an inspiration to me Eldad.

At that point, it's probably less about forgiveness and trust, and more about survival and hope. Either way, I hope they found a home where they COULD learn to trust again, but I doubt they'll ever completely trust again.

One of our dogs Sadie a Shar-pie red heeler mix was an abused stray, adopted, returned to the shelter, then my wife saw her and she looked so miserable, my wife cried on the way home over her, so we turned around went and got her, the shelter said had given up, but she's ours now and since I grew up like she did I understand what she went through in her young life and now she's the life of the party and gets along great with our other adopted a St Bernard collie mix named Cooney. Dogs do learn to forgive, they're born with good souls.

Oh my gosh. My heart!! That was a lovely rescue!! Every so often there’s just that one special pup or pups that just really seems to get it. They are being SAVED! You can just see it in their eyes and feel it in your gut! They look so relieved and grateful and thankful and happy that it just really makes my heart sing!! Eldad and Lisa... Thanks for saving these two wonderful dogs. We are fostering them and they come when called and sit in our laps when we watch TV. Although they love each other, they also have room in their great big hearts to love their humans too. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to sit here with Elsie in my lap and watch your video showing how frightened she was only a short while ago. Don't worry folks, we of Maltese Rescue California will ensure the best home possible for our wonderful furkids....

Every time I watch anything like this, I feel compelled to grab my dog and just hold her. I don't know why she's skittish, but she's been that way since I first got her. It's beyond sad that these animals are suffering as they are. Right now, we save them one at a time. Is there a better way? As it stands, even the smallest shelters are always advertising the need for even the simplest things. Could you imagine, if each of us who don't currently give, gave $1 each month to whichever shelter was closest to us, how much relief that could be?

Hello Susie , no unfortunately I haven't heard anything back from Eldad or his team as of yet , I'm still hoping though , & I'm keeping my eyes out for 1 who's having issues getting adopted ,I'm hoping I will still be able to bring home a dog who needs us & let them feel what life is suppose to be like for a dog , being pampered & clean & never hungry again & of course cozy on the bed cuddling , being able to run & play & have clean water when they get out of breath from excitement , it's all these little things dogs should never have to worry about , yet they do every day when people abandon them :( I just want to spoil one of these babies who's spirit is so broken & let them know what happiness truly is , I'd like to know they are ALL content , so hopefully we can all help make that happen , until I can bring one home I will still just keep donating & doing my part from here , I also foster animals when they need a place to recover, heal & relax , or if they are just in need of extra attention or training, until they can be placed in their forever home, but don't worry , I'm sure these dogs have already found their happy ending , they are beautiful, loving & sweet & should have no trouble at all being adopted :) little dogs tend to find their forever homes a lot easier then big dogs , or dogs with serious medical issues or "disabilities". That's why I'm hoping to adopt one of his rescues who has medical problems , is very large or anything else that's making it hard for them to find their family .

Why do people do this to dogs? They aren't trash, they are living creatures from God. If you are Christian and you didn't know, animal abuse is a sin. You are abusing what God has given you. I'm aware that when you lose money you throw your dogs away but why can't you keep them on the journey with you? I would die with my friend over living a long time than dying.

Its sick what some people do. Ive heard of a story where the owner locked his dog into a cage, and threw it in the ocean. Divers found it unintentionally a few years later. These animals are our (humans) best friends they say, but some sick people out there ruin that and breaks the trust. Dogs are incredibly loyal towards their owners, and there is many cases where dogs even guard their owner's gravepit. Breaking a dogs friendship like this just saddens me...

I love the way Eldad speaks to these gorgeous Doggos - "Hey good girl, its ok" his voice is so soothing and calm. And I think I have fallen in love with Eldad!! Also, I think the majority of the dogs are actually afraid of men, that is why I reckon they respond so quickly to Loretta, but once Eldad strokes and touches them, they change their minds and realise that not all humans are bad. Eldad still does the really dangerous rescues though, he doesn't want to put Loretta or anyone else in danger, only himself. That is why I have fallen for this guy!!
