I am retired and on a fixed income. Still, I have a budget that includes what here in the United States, is sometimes called the 'constant companion' program. Shelters survive on small donations and for the cost of a few items in your grocery cart each week can equal a monthly donation. With this planning I am able to make small recurrent monthly donation to three shelters. There are two vets in the general area that will spay and neuter for a very nominal fee to cover supplies. I cannot speak for Australia, however, in the US these donations are tax deductible. Looking at the Farm it is hard to not want to reach out and help every creature we can through the folks at shelters--frankly, I don't know how they do the work, I would be in floods of tears.

I think good trainers are good leaders and dogs look for a good leader (except maybe Freddo 😂). Dogs can tell if you are not being a good leader I think, and react accordingly. What I mean was Freddo has worked out he can ask Mum if dad says No 😂

What Luke and Sam do for the doggies is beyond amazing. And so is Dee. Dee is in an incredibly tough position because she needs to follow the rules, yet sees their potential. This is really a blessed partnership. It’s fully understandable why dogs are labeled ‘aggressive’ because your average owner is not trained to handle rehabilitation and just wants a pet w/an easy transition into his/her family and for everyone’s safety, a prior incident needs to be disclosed and accessed. But then comes Uncle Luke and Aunty Sam with their capes of love, support and inspiration in their magical bus for these special doggies to say, “We got your back”. #FarmLove #FarmPack ❤

I just had to come to this video again, poor Roscoe couldn't get close enough to Sam, he was probably so confused about why he was back at a shelter,I think it was a good idea that u didn't take Freddo to he would have been so upset,it was so nice of you to go there special and work with diesel and let him meet some of the pack before u brought him back with you on the farm,Dee understanding of dogs is so incredible I'm so glad she called you and Sam for help ,thank you for getting him off death row ,the dogs that end up going to Dee shelter are very lucky , even though they still end up in the shelter she goes over and beyond for the animals that she takes in , and it's so nice of her to take the dogs to the farm once a week to be able to run around and get noticed by your subscribers ,so they can find homes and when a dog is on death row she always calls u first before she just puts a dog down , she is so sweet,I think u and Sam and Dee make the best team ever keep up the great work I'm so proud of you and all the dogs who works so hard to change,I never seen anything like this before I wished we had people like you guys here in America it would definitely help save dogs lives

@@mortalclown3812 Yes, they did explain how they sort of met in one of their videos, but I can't recall which one. But if I come across it I will let you know. But it was definitely to do with re-training the shelterdogs, etc, because Luke admitted that he struggled so much with transitioning into civilian life, after leaving the military. It's very moving to hear about it, hence his affinity for dogs, especially troubled canines.

I was okay until I heard them barking and then saw the panic in Rosco’s eyes. I lost it then. If was like they knew they would never be left behind but they wanted to voice their opinions just in case. You could see the fear in the 3 boys. I didn’t even know Joey was there until she was brought in. Barnie Boy and Joey couldn’t understand what all the fuss was about. Stellar job and I smiled all the time they sat with Sam protecting her and making sure they had a ride home. Luke can see what others can’t and Dee is just an animal saint to save them all. There’s a home out there for all of them.

Loved this video. Roscoe is so impressive. Not just to look at but in his behaviour. He acts like a king! The look of disdain on his face when the unknown interloper (Disel) approached him. Then he turns his face away saying, "go away I'm not playing your game." Then he sits on Sam's feet, his body language shouting "THERE IS NO WAY I'M GOING TO LET YOU LEAVE ME HERE!"🤣

Luke you amaze me on how quick you can turn a dog around. Having a rescue from a really bad environment and trying to undo what was done to him took me years. We hired a trainer whose methods now to me were wrong. I have watched so many training videos trying to fix things. Once I started watching your channel and used your methods my dog changed so much. So glad that you are willing to share your gift and knowledge as if people are willing to put the time in they will succeed. Thank you.

When I saw how Chopper, Tank and Rosco were cowering together at the shelter, my heart went out to them. They probably thought they were being returned. Joey was so good at breaking up the tense atmosphere with her play, and Barney was fine with going with the flow. Thank you heaps Luke and Sam for saving yet another life. Absolutely adored watching Roscoe protecting you Sam, sitting on your feet and seeing Chopper and Tank feeling secured that he had their back in case Diesel has any intention of harming them. Barney has become a terrific apprentice and his reward was back rubs, Joey had no fear, she just wanted to have fun. Dee and the shelter people had to be so impressed with the training that Luke had accomplished with the pack. They all did fantastic even though Roscoe, Tank and Chopper had a look of panic that they were going to remain there. Thanks to Dee and the shelter techs for taking good care and wanting the best for those who have been abandoned and cruelly treated, that takes special people. Well if there’s a bonus to having the flu and a wonky sleep schedule being up for this post is it! Now cue the tears, because it breaks my heart to see them all there. I know it’s part of shelter life but it must be so hard on the doggies to have so much noise all the time. Roscoe, Tanky, Barney, and Chop-Chop were NOT impressed with their temporary holding area. Such good boys to trust you weren’t leaving them. Dee has a gift for seeing those doggies that are just a bit misunderstood. Poor darling Freddo, thank goodness for people like you guys. I can’t imagine how Freddo would react if he went to visit, you’re absolutely right! Praying Diesel gets to the Farm and can decompress.

Poor Roscoe, looking through those bars, made my heart hurt for him. The difference is that he wasn’t showing his teeth, what a transformation! Glad Dee saw Diesel, and not his “rap sheet”. And I hope the doggos got a nice treat and LOTS of cuddles at home. I know they did.

Taking Sam to the shelter is like taking a kid to the candy store. She wants to bring everyone home. I would be the same way too. Roscoe is going to protect his Mum and maybe she can also protect me in here. Chopper just wants to be anywhere but at the shelter poor baby. One of the dogs Dee had looked like it could be related to Tank and Chopper. How many dogs can Sam hold? Dee is an Australian treasure for her love of animals. She has a heart of gold and we need more Dee's at all shelters. My hubby and I can't handle caring for dogs anymore and giving them the exercise they need due to health issues but we do help with the feral cats and do TNR or trap, neuter and release here in Texas along with feeding the ferals in our neighborhood. We also have brought 3 of the ferals into our home and have them as our forever cats. So seeing the kittens Dee had was so hard because I wanted all of them. They are so cute. Did Luke check the bus to see if Sam snuck anyone else on the bus beside Diesel?

The little gray feisty one was beautiful. The tri color one had the most amazing colors. I love kittens and how they look. I’ve never had a cat before, only dogs. I don’t know a single things about cats except they used our front yard for a TNR program once here in Las Vegas.

@@Alex-dz2et So true. I made sure I explained to my neighbors what I was doing to let them know that we were spaying and neutering so that the population would go down. That the ferals also help with mice and such. So we haven't had a problem where we live but you need to be aware of it. To bad they don't arrest the people abusing and dumping animals that actually cause alot of the feral population in the first place. People getting rid of cats or dogs because they grew up or grew old. Or they move and leave the pets behind. We need to celebrate when we see people doing great things for animals like Dee, Luke and Sam.

@@bekiebrn We have one cat who acts more like puppy then kitten. So we call him our puppykitty. He fetches and everything. We have 2 striped with black, brown and carmel coloring Jagger and Bacardi. Then last September we found a little gray kitten with white socks that we call Rogue or Baby Shark because she has a white belly too. I always say adopt 2 at time so they have someone to play with that always helps. Of course, Miss Kitty Rose had a houseful of doggos to play with. LOL

Their reactions prove to me conclusively that dogs have levels of thinking that are like ours. Clearly they remembered and they were able to think about 'what if'? and be worried. People so often underestimate animals. I take this further and extend this understanding to all animals including the ones most people just eat. I cannot think otherwise now. Other animals are so much more than objects for our pleasure.

So glad Freddo will never have to see a shelter again, Sam said it "now" when talking about the marshmallow boy, made eyes teary. When I was doing behaviour management training for interventions with adults one of the main this was letting go of reputations, I see you guys doi g the same with the dogs. I couldn't go to the shelters, I'd cry having to leave without all of them. My God, Luke is just an amazing trainer!! Let's clone him😍😍😍😍😍. Those pups are adorable, I hope there will be heaps of wonderful adopters for all the doggies. All they want is to be loved. Unfortunately it's very difficult to hear the discussions. I think the canine opera is in full swing. People only want the easy pet, so unfortunately they get dumped. The Farm dogs will be retro thinking to the bad old days. Rosco's expression is "I'm not all that relaxed here" I'll sit on Mum's feet, she'll protect me". Why has Chopper got a coat on???? Poor Chopper's tail is so far under his back legs it's almost disappeared. When they got back on the bus, Oh boy will they be happy. Sam needs much bigger feet. Barney is unfazed!!! Watch out Dee🤯🤯🤯🤯. Joey is sooooo athletic. Was that Rosco playing a drum solo with his tail?????? Yep, it's his tail. Gee those doggie beds must be strong!! Sam, Rosco and Tank on the bed. I wish all shelters were as humane as Dees. Poor Freddo must've have been a walking addict, the withdrawal would have been excruciating. Thank God, he found you. I love the way Rosco sat on Sam's feet so she couldn't leave without him - thank you Dee for capturing some wonderful shots of Sam and their dogs. Great to see the master at work, thank you for sharing this with us. It is shocking to see how many people hand in or abandon their dogs (and cats), and that's just at one shelter. Such beautiful souls desperate to be trained, understood and taken into a loving home. Pets are for life, their life and no less.

Oh my dog, totally unrelated but I’m taking it as a massive wink from my Dad in heaven, I woke up thinking of his wheelbarrow with a metal wheel this past week, I had it as a planter but it got lost in one of our moves, then I saw one on Facebook marketplace for sale today so I seriously just askied hubby if he knew where it got left behind an hour before watching this vlog, now Dee has one at the front gates, today I’m just having a bad day and no matter how old you are and girl always feels better with a hug from her Dad. So thanks Dad, I needed a hug. #staypawsitive
