Update: it’s been over a month and a half since my first treatment with Dr. Ed. I’ve followed the prescribed homework with the lumbar denneroll (slacked a bit with the cervical one 😬, since the lumbar area is where the pain has been). Tonight was the first time I’ve played basketball in two months, and I was pain-free. Can’t wait to make it to FL for a follow up video! Thank you, Dr. Ed!

As someone whos 6'5" and over 250 pounds I can say that being big can be a massive pain. Nothings really built for us and what is built for us is increadibly expensive.

It gets even worse when you get older unfortunately... My father is 6‘2 and in his 70s with declined mobility/flexibility....All the chairs, sofas, beds are too low and it’s a pain to find suitable furniture. I hope they improve that cause the population has been growing in height.. Most children are taller than their parents and grandparents.

I’m 6’7” It freaking sucks being this tall in terms of posture. Everything is made for people a foot shorter than us. We have to slouch to fit in cars and not hit our head. We have to look down a lot more. It sucks, but it’s nice to see somebody my height get worked on. I always wonder how an adjustment would go for somebody like me.

Note to self: if ever in a vehicle with Dr. Ed while he is driving, do not ask him to explain any medical concepts, lest he full on closes his eyes and we swerve off the road.

Hey Doc! What are your thoughts on getting chiro cracked if I have subchondral sclerosis in my SI and I’ve lost my lumbar lordosis? I’m 30 and I’m thinking of seeing you if I can get over there but I’m not sure if the SI thing is a contraindication :(

This is an honest question, and I feel I have to qualify my question by saying I'm not trying to be a hater. I've watched a few videos on this channel now, and Dr. Mclaughlin has dealt with several different musculoskeletal pathologies throughout these videos. However, each video is essentially the same routine accompanied by a different explanation. If each of these patients is coming in with a different issue in a different area, why is the treatment virtually identical, or am I missing something?

Good question! All spinal problems are ultimately due to spinal misalignment (ie: poor posture), the leading of which is FHP(forward head posture). In order to change each patient's posture from their posture towards the "idealspine" it is first necessary to loosen the frozen parts(hypomobile) of the spine so that we don't just move the parts that are hypermobile. Sometimes that means getting the joints on the back side of the spine to "come together" so that the ALL(anterior longitudinal ligament) can be stretched. At other times, the bottleneck is on the front in the pectoralis. The first hand full of visits is about identifying where the most "bang for your buck" is. With unlimited time any area could receive benefit. Most symptoms are a result of common postural problems that a majority of the population have. For example: Forward head posture can cause headaches, low back pain, jaw pain, tight hamstrings, gastric paresis and much more. By treating the posture that causes the symptom I'm getting to the source of the problem. Once FHP is resolved a majority of those symptoms will go away. I treat posture not symptoms. These videos also only show a portion of the treatment. Most people come in with very similar problems but they express them in different ways. My life feels like Groundhogs Day a lot of the time. The adjustments and techniques used are also the ones - that after 15 years of practice (my Dad over 38 years of practice) - have provided patients with the best results. Treatments that are proven to work are used the most because they work. If you look at what other Doctors do, you'll find that many procedures are done the same way (a majority of the time...not always because exceptions always exist) because those procedures are proven to work best. Anyways, hope this helps. I could probably keep going and write a paper on this that would be too long to read. Appreciate the question and sincerity behind it. Thank you for watching!!

Red stuff is bruising, to help better circulation in the back from scraping. Black stuff might be hair.
