*I am a big fan of kingdom Rush series.
*I have never bought a hero or used extra items from the shop to win the game.
*I believe the developers did a pretty good job with these games, that you can always figure out a way to win them without the extras.
*I have finished all the 4 parts in Veteran or Impossible mode
*I have finished all the Iron and Heroic challenges in Hard mode (Except 2 levels in the first part and I don't think I will ever able to finish them in hard mode)

Yes, I think so. The big spider, the similarity in the name, getting invisible. Sounds like a reference from Lord of the rings.

Its also a starwars reference . As in the movie frodo never gets caught by the spider and hung upside down. Nor is there snow/ice where it happens anyways. However luke in starwars ep 5 doe get caught by a wampa and is hung upside down in a cave where theres ice and snow. His name frudo is a obvious combine of the name frodo/luke. This makes even more sense when kingdom rush frontiers blatantly names some characters in game gimli, durin, and i think a couple others. So frudo is a mix of luke and frodo. His blue glowy sword is a lightsaber....except not. Thats the joke....

The boulder at 1:35 is from the first Indiana Jones movie in beginning scene where he had to escape from boulder. (That's slli remember rn)

Imo the first one is a double reference. Hes caught in a web hanging upside down. This doesnt happen in the movie lord of the rings. And there is no ice in that scene as he is close to mordor. So the only other reference it could be is starwars ep 5. Where luke is caught and hung upside down by a wampa where there is obviously ice/snow. IE its a double refence. His name is also a clue frudo....instead of frodo. The O is replaced with a U. As in the U from luke skywalker. So ya double reference
