Totally agree. I am opposed to the cuts to the Coastguard and I think a better alternative would be to co-locate MRCCs with fishery and Customs offices and merge the MCA with the MMO, Marine Scotland and the marine part of the UK Border force. This could cut the number of offices and backroom staff required. I am also opposed to the privatisation of SAR helicopters as it will just put taxpayers money into the pockets of shareholders, instead of into the SAR service.

Unfortunately its all too late now Bud I couldn't save this station, the locals wouldn't get behind the campaign... Shame really :-(
