Love from Odisha (the state in India where this farm is located)! Never knew about him. Thanks for bringing him to limelight. He's such an asset to mankind as a whole. There are another father-daughter duo in Odisha- Radhamohan and Sabarmatee- who grow traditional crop varieties using indigenous farming techniques in a land that was completely barren and unproductive a few decades ago. They've developed a 'seed bank' of over 700 native crop varieties including hundreds of varieties of rice, fruits and vegetables. They were honoured by the Indian government with the Padma Shri (India's fourth highest civilian honour) this year. I hope Debal Deb gets honoured and recognised for his incredible work as well.
