I love this tip! We also double dip, we book our Cruises through Costco Travel, pay for it with the gift cards, then 6 weeks after your cruise, you get Costco Cash cards based on a percentage of your cruise purchase price. Every little bit helps! Great Channel guys

You can also sign up for the Disney credit card and just use the statement bonus. Certain Disney sites have it from $50-$100. As long as you have the income and credit you’ll be good!

You two need to Totally sail next Thanksgiving Disney Dream Nov. 19th-23rd, 2018. Get the Target debit card instead of the credit card & you still get the same benefits but you don't have the interest and it comes directly out of your bank account.

Here in Michigan I shop at Kroger for groceries. They sell gift cards and also has their own gas stations. When you buy groceries you earn points towards cents off per gallon. Gift cards are always worth 2x the points and every so often they are worth 4 times the points. I like getting Disney gift cards through Kroger which goes towards gas money.

I do this same hack! My Target red card is attached to my bank account, so no debt! I do also use the Disney Visa card though. If you can behave and pay it off every month, and try to use it for as much as you can... it really ads up! And there is usually an incentive when you first sign up or are referred by a friend. And if you can refer others you get $50 worth of Disney money per referral too. Also sometimes around Black Friday Target will have a sale on Target gift cards... as crazy as that sounds! In store only usually and there is a limit per person but you can just go through the line multiple times (shhh!) The Target gift cards can later be used to purchase Disney gift cards, and the savings is more then the 5%. Watch Target ads as we get into November for that deal. Target also has a visa debit version as well for those who don't want to use the Target credit card version. I didn't know that until I started working from them during their seasonal time. I never used my red card debit card but now I have a reason to to use it, thank you guys for this helpful tip, can't wait to go on my 25th birthday celebration at Disney World in July.

I would recommend the Disney no annual fee card as long as you the credit and income! If you are approved you get $50 statement but some Disney sites are doin $100 statement. Could be worth getting since you and Sherri do Disney cruises a lot!

The gift cards are key. We have a local grocery store that does 20 cents off gas with $100 gift card purchases. Free gas + paying for your vacation are nice. We also almost always split at least 1 meal a day in the parks. Food adds up quick hah.

We used to spend 4 days at WDW and then a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas. In the parks, don't waste time with the characters because it is much easier to meet them on the ship.

We got the Disney Visa card. Buying normal living expenses on it over time adds up to lots of Disney bucks! We are going into our next cruise with hundreds in Disney credit to use for anything on the ship, tips, cruise itself, etc. Plus discounts in Disney stores. That's how we are saving.

Great idea but you can do this with a lot of other credit cards so you won’t be tied into just shopping at Target. Chase Freedom does 5% on rotating quarterly categories and a lot of the times the categories are grocery stores which sell gift cards. Same with Citi Custom Cash same thing 5% back at grocery and drug stores.

Target also has ATM attached red card, I believe that you can use that one also for 5% off and you are using it as an ATM and not a credit card. We did this recently and saved about 200$ on our cruise.

Can you use the gift cards at restartaunts at the Anaheim Disneyland park? Recently received Disney gift cards for Christmas and me and my husband are going to Disneyland in February but don't know what the hell to do with them. We don't buy merch or anything like that since we don't have kids and just aren't interested in merch. So we were unsure if we are able to use the gift cards anywhere in the park. Such a snacks, the restaurants in the park. Thank you.

I buy my gift cards through BJs and use my cash back card to make it 6.5% savings and free shipping or in store use coupons plus 4% to save even bigger plus cash back card. I also don't bother to combine because I just call in my payment and all I have to do is read it to the CM or you go type them all in combine then go on the website type the one's in you combined to but the issue is if you get a 1000 back to a card that was origionally only 100d it may or may not go fully back and that's per Disney as that's not what it was origionally and if your going to do Target keep in mind you can't really get that many at a time I tried to get 1000 and they locked my account and I was using the debit card which is like cash.

We've have never been on a Disney cruise 🚢, but we have gone to WDW a lot. We use our Disney credit card to book our resort, so we may pay for it in 6 months with no interest. My hack is, I just watch the Disney Channel (Yeah I'm a 31 yo man, so what? Don't judge me) and occasional Disney special on the Travel Channel. Also, I watch LeggLife on the you tubes. If I sit really close to the screen, it's like I'm actually there! Or maybe seizures.........it's a toss up sometimes. But I save soooo much money!
