What the heck PBS, no mention of, Saman Kunan the 37 year old former Royal Thai Navy SEAL, died by asphyxiation during the rescue attempt on, July 6th no honorable mention at all, what a shame PBS.

That was my first thought too! His sacrifice should have been honored.

At the end of the video at 13:08 they show a picture of him when the narrator say the word sacrifice in a sentence talking about what can be achieved through sacrifice, bravery, and teamwork. Hes only shown long enough to say that word though.

@@williambryant5946 That is no consolation because I know his story and I missed that split second picture that you are referring to and I am not going back to see if it is true, imagine people who don't know his story. He should have been mentioned he paid with his life. So don't say they showed his image for a split second sorry that does not cut it.

It’s important to remember that Ret. Thai navy SEAL Saman Kunan died during the rescue. The story of the rescue is a great story of international unity and cooperation so I appreciate this video with the details of the ordeal. I just wish they didn’t fail to mention SAMAN KUNAN who was there as a VOLUNTEER and unfortunately lost his life while helping with the rescue efforts

The most important thing that can be learnt from this is that as a Team this was possible, each diver was needed to make this possible (back to chamber 3). Without any of the component parts/members of the team, the rescue would have almost certainly failed. It speaks volumes about the worldwide cave diving community that each diver took on his role, and played his part. We truly are blessed to have such people amongst us.

So thankful the rescuers from all over the world to come together to save the boys & their coach. Thank God for all of these heroes! Rest in paradise to Saman Kunan the Royal Thai Navy Seal who died from asphyxiation trying to rescue the boys & coach . You Sir are a true hero & legend. 💜

I heard he was strangled to death by a pair of shoes that the boys decided to remove, because sharp rocks inside a dark cave feel better with bare feet.

@@tommym321 I thought the same as you did but then, I looked at her name and sometimes, words can have different meanings when translated from one language to another. For instance, she's Spanish so, when she wrote the word "precious", I believe she meant "valuable, costly, important, treasured, etc.". It depends on the language.☮

@@tommym321 I'll be honest with you. I've been dealing with this kind of "problem" for years now. My Dad's from France, you see and I could give you plenty of examples... In French, we have the word "sensible", you'd think it means sensible in English but not at all. It means sensitive. Same story with the expressions etc. Anyway, glad I gave you a new kind of perspective. Peace to You ☮

At the end it says "A testimony to the resolve of the people of Thailand"...what about the Australian guy...and the Americans...and all the many, many other people who figured out the plan and then executed it? A diver actually died before they got this all figured out. Is Thailand related to Trump - or Putin? You know, those 2 guys who take credit for anything good that happens in their country without ever giving credit to the people who pull it off🙄They mention teamwork but give no credit or thanks.
