Pretty surprised he let you stay in the dyno room filming as he said in one of his videos recently he doesn’t allow it for safety reasons. Love the sound of these 5 pots, would love to see you do an intercooler and intake to see it closer to the 400hp mark but great work.

Hi Dean @10:35 I think this issue may have happened from another episode in this series. When you are lifting an engine (not sure if the RS3 or the RSQ3 engine) but I remember seeing you give the engine a big pull - so maybe it was that? I’m no mechanic so I could be totally wrong here. Nice work mate, good to see another car saved. Those drive shafts can be filled with a thick oil or grease, I had this exact issue when I did some work on my S4, pain in the back side.

I always stage 1 a car when it's out of warranty as they're just soo much nicer to drive. Cayenne S up from 435hp to 510hp, F80 M3 up from 450hp to well over 500hp.

Gotta say that the RSQ3 definitely needs breathing mods - the stage 1 remap made 472nm torque, which is less than my stage 1 Golf GTI mk7.5 (GPF) which has 50bhp less.

had exactly the same on my T5 DSG transporter one of the bearings dropped off like that after i replaced the suspension. Caused a massive vibration on driving over 20mph. The grease also came out just like that. Reassembled been fine since. I think it was down pulling them from the hubs etc and sometimes a bearing can drop off as it isnt supported outside the shaft joint cup.

As always, great content. But I’m a little confused, as previous comment. You said tickets would be £1.99 in the video, but they’re £2.50 on C for C. So if I do my usual thing and have a tenners worth, I get 1 less ticket. Are all tickets now going to be £2.50 or it just for this car?

I was supposed to say £2.50 but so used to saying £1.99. We’re just trialing £2.50 as it can reduce the cost for us to the card merchants so therefore I can do better odds. 👍🏻 It would have been 12500 tickets at £1.99 otherwise

id be so tempted by something like that for my next car. i really want a 4x4/all wheel drive car/suv in about 2 years when my current car is paid off... getting more and more tempted to go Audi for a Quattro. these little standard intercoolers are almost pointless i think especially for stage 1 or higher. if your not really going stage 1 but want a tweak then i guess its fine to leave. i did think of upgrading the one on my Pug 308 1.6hdi but i am after moving on ASAP so i wont be. regardless, very interesting vid as usual

Thanks, well done. Will you have problems with DVLA and notify the engine change, and do the insurance companies accept the re mapping or will there be problems down the line? Genuine question as very interested in this car. How bad will the insurance be? I once put a 4.6 V8 in an MGB and had a few problems with the DVLA.

The engine is 99% the same so for your insurance you would just need to declare it’s had a remap.

Drive Shaft issue happens when you drop tgecAnglevof the wheel ie ball joint or Suspension leg. It happened to me when I lowered my RSQ3

Nowadays we need to check more things than the alternator if we don't get 14V. It could be the alternator is not receiving the signal to charge the battery or similar things, but it doesn't mean it's broken straight away.

How do you do a reset on the gearbox I've got a Mercedes SLK r170 compressor 03, l'm having the problem with the automatic gearbox in manual shifting full Throttle and switch, it wants to go right over the Redline to 6,500 and you can't change it yourself well on full throttle. I sort of watch some YT video to try and do it somebody said about reset but didn't work. Yeah I was thinking about an aftermarket intercooler it gets very very hot! what's a good intercooler? can you get water cooled intercoolers, that is separate from the main engine coolant? Can you get a small oil radiator for the compressor has its own compressor oil, what I can't seem to get hold of LC delco. Even Mercedes dealership didn't have anything. I'm not sure when it should be changed? I don't know if I should use a different brand people advise against it not sure it makes much difference? Will it benefit from a oil radiator for the compressor or even the main engine,I don't think it has one for the engine. I need to get a workshop manual do you know of a good w--site? Cheers I'll be sending that competition off in the post when to closing date?

You are kidding yourself if you ever thought a stage 1 would get you over 400bhp. 400 maximum... Needs the intercooler, induction kit, exhaust and secondary CAT delete, down pipe and inlet into the turbo upgraded to get above 400
