Beautiful ❤ God bless you brother. The chorus was really interesting as we sing the chorus a little different to this, the only difference is that on "when we pray" part @1:29 "when" was a bit longer (half note with one dotted note), "we" on the eighth note 🎶 and an accidental on "pray" on and we don't sing the fermata on "Jesus" @1:37 But other than that we sing it basically the same as well as the tempo 😁

It's always interesting to hear how others sing hymns. Do you know if your hymnal has it the way y'all sing it? If so, I'd be interested to know what hymnal y'all use and what church. This arrangement came straight from one called _Praise for the Lord_ that is used in a lot of churches of Christ. I also looked through some old scans of this from the 1800's and they are just like the one I sang. Maybe your way is a newer arrangement that is slightly different? Glad you thought the tempo was appropriate. ( : And here's a scan out of a hymnal from 1864 if you're interested. Hymnary.org is such a great tool for seeing how arrangements have changed over the years. hymnary.org/hymn/DHTB1864/page/15 hymnary.org/text/savior_like_a_shepherd_lead_us

@@acappellahymns Interestingly, in our songbooks we don't have or use solfege or music notations we have only lyrics and most of the songs we put together are mainly old hymns with some not in public domain i.e. wings of a dove, got any rivers etc. we found online we don't use a specific hymnbook. When we sing a hymn the people who play the instrument will know what note the hymn should be based on how high or low we sing (which is mainly F). If we don't know a song the song leader will find the song online and teach it to the congregation, but this seem to be the correct way to sing it so hopefully we will sing it like this next time But I really would like to bring solfege into our choir since we don't sing in solfege.

Lots of Eb's (the key of the song), Bb's (the V of the key), and some Ab's (IV). If you capo on the 3rd fret, you can use C, G, and F chord positions. Hope that helps. I highly recommend that you use your ears a lot and learn to read music. If you need some pointers, let me know.
