When this song came out, the blend of the two vocalists had a very original sound. They influenced some other bands who brought female vocalists into metal or post hardcore. It feels calm but edgy at the same time. Very few bands had this unique style then.

Female vocalists combined with harsh male vocals have been in metal since the early 90s. There was a whole genre of this that was popular from roughly 95 to about 2005 or so.
