I would say you know a great leader and teacher by the students they produced. It's mind baffling to hear some "Johnny come lately" have the nerve to heap adulation on the students and ignore the teacher. Critics who hate the NOI like to do that with Bro Malcolm X and Hon Elijah Muhammad. It's like cutting the root of a tree from its branches. I always understand that there would be no Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali, and Farrakhan without Elijah. I also understand that there would not have been a revival of Islam in Black America if there was no Nation of Islam. While some have attempted to disassociate themselves from the foundation and become history revisionist, the truth remains that the NOI an evolving vanguard is the only surviving mass black organization left standing in this third millennium.
