It just badly plan and even more badly executed. The problem is mostly bad/no communication cause the could have just have tell soda when they are about to go in and let the other guild try and find them. but it turn into the guild not know what going on. so feel like they ninja it, cause it will be noting if T1 just tell soda he want to do it his way. They waned a layer for the GUILD not just the survivor, so they can have viewers and people find them and go to them reason why soda was advocating for 10 minutes in the first place cuz they would have to find the arena and get to it as well the correct layer, and it was a guild event that guildies wanted to watch. As well Tyler went ahead and did everything himself, originally Soda was doing the planning like wha Tyler said hes just GM in name but everything Soda is doing, and Tyler gets the final word for approval, but that got horribly miscommunicated.What Soda had in mind was moreso what Sequisha went through but making it more organized since Sequisha was a last minute thing but they got the whole guild there to watch, with this one, they had their own discord, their own group and layer and no guildies who wanted to come watch couldnt and had to watch through other peoples stream, which at end of day they wasted everyone's time getting together when they could've told them and they wouldve afk'd in org and watched a stream instead of scrambling to gurubashi on time. That was the main issue but everyone else had a problem with that Yamato lived, when Soda did say that they can have a team to help him, and it was a punishment for ninja looting not even cheating like sequisha where sequisha had to be executed, yamato had the chance to live, he lost the duel and the dagger was enough.

It was super enjoyable from Yamatos or any streamer who saw Yamato´s point of view. Layer hoppin was initally suggested as a defense tool by soda himself. Besides, Yamato was so low, it didnt need a group to finish him off at 40%, literally a solo player could have killed him but he would have died himself. But noone did. From like 60 Players at least on the LAyer. It is true that what sucked was not everybody from the guild had the chance. That could have been handled better.

Everyone was there when there was 4-5 minutes on the timer still and they sat on their tiny balls and watched. The layer confusion changed nothing other than rob some people of getting their own perspective on screen. I think this is the only time I've seen Xar have a bad take, he of all people knows how dangerous 7 minutes in the arena is regardless of what layer you're on. On top of that literally a week ago when they were setting up the rules Soda specifically said they could use layers. It wasn't just within the rules it was suggested by the true GM. At the end of the day there were still plenty people there in the end. When Yamato was at 40% all it would've taken was one rogue lurking to guaranteed he dies. The simple reality is very few people are willing to go in and for good reason. When all is said and done they stayed in the most dangerous spot in HC for 7 minutes. As far as I'm concerned that's a deserved W and his punishment is done.

@@Ecaea dude, nobody outmaneuvered anybody xd rules got bent over to make duel with t1 somewhat entertaining, skill every rule was basically "ok, t1 sucks at the game and can't use this, so we'll take it out". it's a server structure abuse. blizzard even tried to make it harder to layer swap. layers are intended to be a way to have functioning servers with enormous amount of people, not a game mechanic. it's just this iteration of classic has it. somebody in the call said that they "clever used a game mechanic" which is the last thing you are supposed to say because for everybody it's obvious that it's not clever xd it's literally the first thing that comes to mind and requires basically 0 brain power, skill or knowledge of the game.

Naw Tyler gotta take this L. Him jumping layers basically threw everyone out of loop. This force people to disband their groups and to also jump layer. Now everyone is split up. When they do find the layer. They have to invite and wait. Most would not make it in time. This also forced those that made it to jump in and die to the 7 or 14 players defending him. Dunno. #1 OnlyFangs rule is, that they're not a hc guild but a content guild. And from a content perspective it was lame, they dodged - accidently or not, i dont know - an alliance raid that was ready to go + a smaller OnlyFang squad. Plus viewers of the streamers(and the streamer himself) that couldnt get to the right layer would obviously call it lame too. But I get Ozys point, i wouldnt want yamato to die there, no lvl 60 should die so close to the raid.

It didn't have to be though, Yam agreed to the rules, period. At first it was completely crapping on Sard, so they walked the rules back and Yam said the rules were fine, so your point is pretty irrelevant, especially considering Yam originally said he would just kill his character and had to be talked into a duel in the first place. He also broke rules during the punishment but nobody has decided to punish him for that. I didn't even want to see him die, nor did I care if he was killed, but well all know what the arena punishment is supposed to be like. So pulling what they pulled goes against the spirit of the punishments, the arena, and the literal point of the guild itself.

I want take a moment to bring focus on the last 30 seconds of this video. It completely embodies what I feel about 'drama' content (including this long video of the disc call which is utter noise). The real content is stuff like being there for Wisetauren and he was just sitting waiting for the bullshit to end. Many people, as I do from the sidelines, are just waiting for this to be over and see the fun and funny bits and interactions. The 'drama' content takes from the other, better (and creative!) content. We can take time to dissect everything said from all different parties, and share our opinions etc, but in the grand scheme of things it is simply an opportunity cost. Writing this comment after watching this whole video also is, and I'd rather simply enjoy and laugh as I've been doing to the point of getting tears at the fun interactions of the last month. Instead of opining on the particulars of the 'drama' I will keep voicing my opinion about this 'drama'-related content.

Nah. You can't say no rules for the duel then just scrap it in the arena. Soda specifically said when they set the rules they can abuse layers however they see fit, he quite literally gave them the idea. A full 7 minutes in the arena regardless of what layer you're on is still the most dangerous thing you can do in HC end of story. They outplayed the situation and it was a deserved W especially considering they set him up to lose the duel in the first place. Despite all of that the only reason he lived is because nobody had the balls to go in. There were hundreds there for a full 5 minutes. Sure some people missed out on getting their perspective but who cares in grand scheme of things. 7 minutes is more than enough time find and get yourself on the layer. Anyone who claims otherwise wasn't determined enough.

Difference is pirate leaves calls never listens to others. When Tyler & soda called yamd/sard they both got to say their piece then agreed to duel + take the punishment. All the rules were stated there. Yes the outcome could’ve been unfun viewing experience for viewers but that’s how the game is played. Classic wars (pvp especially in 2019) was always layering wars, while covering stream (in this case it’s hardcore + Tyler is prbly listening to sweats and in the heat of moment he probably forgot to call soda, that’s why I’m not that mad. That's where I'm at as well. If you don't want to put the characters at risk (really) why even do it. The thing is they could have done this way more "honorably" as Xar said. They could have loaded up the layer with all Guild members where other Guilds/Alliance wouldn't be able to phase in. I understand why T and Soda didn't want this to transpire in the way it should have. This would have been a guild breaking event. If groups would have formed there would a massacre, key members would have died, no raid, no content. Just call it for what it is. Take it as a learning moment and move on.

People wanted to see blood and they're upset that Yam didn't die; in their defense, the layering made the whole thing lame. They would need to form a raid to counter the 12 man hit team protecting Yam...trying to get a group together on a short notice is next to impossible especially when your team mates are on different layers and you have to wait for their layer cooldowns to be done. With all that stuff, you can see some people having cold feet since no one wants to flush hundreds of hours down the drain when they have to go up against 12 people before they can even find Yam. At the end of the day, Yam should have just jumped in the arena with no protection and try to survive (I'm 100% confident that he would have lived since he can stealth and hide while everyone was killing each other).

From my perspective as a wow player, the whole OnlyFangs guild stuff felt like it was supposed to be a fun content type guild unlike any other guild ever made. It felt like a fresh idea which sort of gave us all a new perspective of what wow could be, and so bending rules and cheese to get ahead wasn't on -my- radar for anything that had to do with OnlyFangs. With that being said, none of the new players necessarily need to care about this aspect of the game, because it's all new to them. The league players are enjoying a new game and want to play it, they don't give a shit about the rp type guild meetings or any of that stuff really. And I think that's a clash between Sodapoppin and Tyler1, in their view of what the guild is. I personally think Tyler completely and utterly ruined the entire event, and I genuinely lost a lot of interest in OnlyFangs after this, which is sad because this has been such a fun thing to follow. Tyler1 going full rage mode and telling the entire guild that they're idiots, and that he IS the guild? Not cool, really. I thought he was a fun addition to the guild up until this point, though, despite his clown-type behaviour which in large is the persona that he displays on stream.

Lol, what a crock of shit. Sardaco and Yamato didn't leave the call because their involvement and/or punishment was being decided by guild leaders. PirateSoftware left the group after Tyler1, the guild leader, had already decided that PirateSoftware didn't need punished or kicked from guild. PirateSoftware left the call because Yamato was trash talking PirateSoftware and talking over PirateSoftware when PirateSoftware tried to explain anything. There's a reason that PirateSoftware was kicked without Tyler1's knowledge. And remember that Tyler1 is a friend of Yamato. Tyler1 went to bat for Yamato in making sure Yamato wasn’t at risk of dying in this loot drama. Yamato has been clear that the guild rules don't apply to himself because of his relationship with Tyler1. Something Tyler1 has said is annoying, given how often Yamato uses that friendship card to get out of trouble. So, it is quite telling that Tyler1 did not agree with Yamato's version of the PirateSoftware situation.
