This is the very reason I dislike playing against quest warrior. To often are both players put in a position where luck/lack of luck with the hero power determines who wins.

actually, if they get to complete the quest and start throwing random fireballs you still have more of a chance than if warlock gets a 2 card combo on turn 6 and you die on the spot but whatever, I guess nerfs just dropped and we always need to bitch about something

I think we are talking about different things. I'm saying I don't like it because it is impossible to predict the hero power. You can predict what a warlock will play every turn and try to match that to the best of your ability and what the draw rng allows. With random 8 damage hero power that is not really the same case anymore. You cannot predict if it goes face 3 times in a row killing you or if it only hits your worst minions giving you the win in the end. Same reason I disliked Yogg-saron at it's height. Wind-condition dependent on rng is something I want less off.

Simon Sunnerholm I'd rather be subject to a quest reward that restricts your deck and then allows you to throw random fireballs rather than know I'm gonna always loose against lock, we're talking about the same thing, I'm just saying, compared with everything else in the ladder the random fireballs actually feel super fair, even if you get rekt in rng, they still have to put more work than other classes so I'd say it's not triggering, more power to you if you're annoyed by a tier 17 deck that relies on rng

No, You are talking about matchup-balancing. I'm talking about game mechanics/focus. For example I think it would be better if the hero power do 4 or even 5 damage and you could choose targets. Or have the quest delayed a bit an allow 8 damage to chosen target. That would allow for more consistent strategy planning. Trying to belittle my argument by saying it's a tier 17 deck so I'm being silly is disingenuous. The power level is NOT the point I'm making.

Simon Sunnerholm agreed. Taunt quest warrior is my least favorite matchup with rexxar. It's a long game that should wind up with rexxar winning because he exhausts warrior removal, but what it really comes down to is if the warrior hits the 50 50s on the hero power and if he has good rng on brawls. It's basically a really long, drawn out, high effort coin toss.
