@@RoastPost Because it's a game. Consider Saw X, the grey matter removal. The guy was told everything he needed to know, how grey matter would dissolve, but he had to hurry because sometimes it doesn't dissolve fast enough. Did he hurry? Nope. Same with the girl who had to severed her leg and draw blood into a container, she took too long. On the other hand, there is a Saw movie where a banker severs her arm and drops it on a container, giving the pound of flesh the game demanded.

The story is so convoluted that I had no idea if I had seen all movies leading up to Saw X but now that I'm watching it I actually remember them.

The last two films are so intricated! I barely understand what's going on! After watching Saw X i can see the movies went the wrong direction, they made it about "detectives" and it should be more about Jigsaw himself... Tobin is such an amazing actor...

Depends on the trap. Some traps demand determination, teamwork and intelligence. Some traps demand body horror nd sacrifice. I would survive the furnace trap in Saw 3, would survive Saw 1 (like how detective did in Saw 3), would survive reverse bear trap in Saw 6. And would survive almost every trap in Saw 10 except leg cutting one. I know, because I had multiple accidents before

New approach? Im sorry i think u mean the original approach. The first 3 movies were like this. Honestly the other saw movies shouldn't even be a thing because they suck ass and have no story or foundation. They claim to be including john kramer yet there are so many plot holes. Even jigsaw is all over the place. Saw X is the best movie since saw 1,2,3. So yes this was a breath of fresh air for oldschool fans.

@@paulpazsak3665 i think the approach taken in saw x is new. instead of an opening trap we get john getting an mri and being told he has only months to live. for john this is his game, and it’s something much more grounded that almost everyone can relate to, as chances you know and love at least one who has battled cancer. it brings a lot of humanity to the film and while there have been times we feel sympathy for kramer in the past like when we learn about gideon and see what happened that night, this film definitely paints him as a sympathetic character and the hero that we are meant to root for. also, it’s so crazy that for the first time ever john and amanda are actually watching the trap victims in the room, not on a monitor, and interacting with them throughout the game, even showing their faces to them with no disguises on. overall like i was saying earlier i think this film put humanity above all, and allows the audience to connect with john in a way we’ve never been able to before.

My favorite SAW episode is VI. Bring in the people that promise insurance. The scene where the auditors that are hired to find faults in insurance policies, when it is them or the other person who has to die turn on each other. Calling out each other's lies. There is also the statement by John Kramer, (jigsaw) In the far East they pay doctors to keep them healthy, not when they get sick.

@@marcGOAT1 Hoffman makes his first appearance in Saw III. Basically everything you need to know about him to watch Saw X is in Saw III. Unless you’re deeply interested in what the story of Detective Hoffman is, you don’t need to even know who he is to understand the plot in Saw X.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for explaining this in Chronological order of movies instead of in order by time of each event. Oh my god! This is like a breath of fresh AIR. Places like IGN and other KZbin channels always explain the SAW Series in the worst way possible (by order of literal time of an event at which it happened) and it seems like they do this in an attempt to confuse the viewer as much as possible. I believe you have 3 options: a) You watched the full video and therefore whether you decide to watch any of those movies is trivial because you already know the twists. You might as well watch Saw X first. b) You only need to watch Saw and Saw 2 to understand Saw X. c) There is a small scene in Saw X that you wouldn't fully understand unless you have finished Saw 4, and therefore also 3. Whatever you choose to do, I hope you have a good time!

I just don't like the idea that Gordon was there as a revenge figure. It makes more sense to me that John would have him and the other accomplices as a last line of defense against Hoffman for Jill, truly showing John's love for her. She would've had more protection than he had for himself.
