I love how jigsaws test of the officers once again is warped for his own convenience. tapp is arguably trying to keep him under control to avoid him harming sing while he is aiding the prisoner which john then shows he was able to do with the blade. sing pursues jigsaw becuase capturing a serial killer could arguable save more lives.

I once heard that you can go insane without ever realizing it. I think that’s what happened with John. After the loss of Gideon, the cancer diagnosis, and the failed suicide attempt, John completely snapped without realizing it.

Saw: The Video Game IS part of the canon, as is Saw II: Flesh & Blood. The Saw wiki labels them as non-canon because of very minor inconsistencies that could easily be overlooked and/or explained (such as Seth Baxter's trap being written in in-game notes as happening after Paul Leahy and Amanda Young's rather than before). The games' stories were in fact scrutinised by the filmmakers to make sure nothing was contradicted. SPOILERS: David Tapp shoots himself dead in his apartment at the end of the game and his body WAS discovered as seen in Saw II: Flesh & Blood. Although the game came out after Saw V, this would offer an explanation as to why there is a picture of David Tapp at the beginning of Saw V.

I think it was right to include Tapp in the memorial, the Tapp the police knew, worked with, we're friends and colleagues with was killed by Jigsaw, even if they didn't know he was physically dead at the time of the memorial, mentally, emotionally, Tapp died when Sing. In the end Tapp was another victim.

I think it would be a cool video idea with delving into the traps, how the person committed the "sin" to get there, the traps names, and how they could have been beaten (other than Amanda’s) and how the person who died wouldn’t have if they thought about it. There’s like top ten traps and what not but nothing about how they could have been solved if they thought and didn’t panic... like a sadistic escape room.

I think that's also why John didn't plan to target Bobby, otherwise he would of kidnapped Bobby after they met at the Book signing. Bobby's lies were helping people and inspiring many to change their lives. I really think the games in the 7th movie was just Hoffman's way of distracting to police so he can get to Jill

To bad you never talk about the possibility of Adam still being alive and that they put Tapps body in his place to hide the fact. Adam's left foot was shackeld in the first movie while the corpses right foot is shackeld. Also the corpses gun shot is clearly in the middle of his body as was Tapps while Adam was shot in his shoulder. It would be really cool if Adam would turn out to be the second of the 3 pigmasks and thereby having teamed up with Gordon!

Leigh Whannel did write the first Saw video game, so even if the events aren't canon (mostly due to the absurd number of unnamed victims in the game, including an unnamed Pighead accomplice that is killed as a boss), I think its observations, like how both the drill chair and the shotgun tripwire would've easily been detected and disarmed had Tapp and Singh done a formal sweep with a warrant, and how Obi willingly reached out to Jigsaw because he's a masochist, ARE canon, since those little details are alluded to in canon anyway and having them pointed out just confirms it.

I played both video games and even though the first one was flawed I still had fun with it. The second one was a little more annoying considering the combat system is so much worse. Instead of delayed attack animations it’s stupid QTE’s I would definitely give the first one a try and maybe the second one if you’re curious enough to see what happens next.
