John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back. The most chilling installment of the SAW franchise yet explores the untold chapter of Jigsaw's most personal game. STORY EXPLAINED: John Kramer is at the hospital, and after hearing his results about how much time he has left, he goes to leave, but just before he does, he stops by a fountain outside a patient's room for a drink. However, when he finishes, he notices a custodian going through the patient's things, and after witnessing that, he takes a look at the patient's broken hand, and that gives him an idea... for a TRAP. The scene then jumps into a different room, where it shows the custodian waking up and finds himself tied to a chair. He also sees some kind of mask on his face, that has two transparent tubes attached to his eyes and the fingers on his right hand are wrapped in something, but in a way just like what the patient had on HIS hand. While he's trying to figure out what's going on, John's voice is being heard over a loudspeaker and says that he'd like to play a game. Since the custodian had sticky fingers to rob that patient, John explains that what he needs to do to escape the trap is, with his left hand, he has to turn a dial 5 times, and if he doesn't complete that task in under a minute, the tubes that are attached to his eyes are also attached to a vacuum cleaner, and they say those can suck in anything that is loose or almost loose if it's right in front of the hose, so if the custodian fails to complete the task by the time that minute has passed, his eyeballs will get sucked straight out of his skull. One of the things that the custodian was going to steal is a watch, that John has used for the countdown and when he has finished explaining the rules, the watch starts ticking and the vacuum turns on. It makes a start on sucking his eyeballs out and so he does what he said, but suddenly, when he turns the dial just once, he realizes the trap BREAKS his fingers by pulling them far back. After breaking his PINKY finger, he continues feeling the pain from his eyeballs getting sucked out, so he turns the dial again and breaks his RING finger. With that much pain he's taken, he starts having problems on continuing, but eventually, with no other option, he keeps going; turning the dial again and breaking his MIDDLE finger. With only 2 fingers left, unfortunately, the custodian gets stressed and decides to give up. The timer runs out and the vacuum starts charging up to the MAX. The custodian's eyeballs get sucked out one by one, and he's left completely blind. However, after failing to complete the test, suddenly, the scene jumps again and back into the hospital, where it shows John witnessing the robbery and revealing the whole scene was just a daydream. As the custodian is now looking through the patient's wallet, he's exposed by John after seeing he was watching him, and so good news is revealed when the custodian puts the things back in the drawer and goes to leave, but just as he's about to walk out the room, John stops him and tells him, ''Good choice''. The custodian regretted what he was doing and this means that he will not be in that trap for real. However, if the Eye Vacuum Trap was real, since the custodian's task was just snapping all 5 fingers on his right hand, what he could've done to pass the test was turn the dial all the way, instead of individually. Everyone knows: Broken FINGERS can be fixed 🖐🏻 EYES cannot be replaced 👁 👁

I know people are saying that the breaking fingers task is not that bad, but I think that’s the point, this is John’s INITIAL idea of the trap. The idea started simple like this, but the task might’ve evolved into something much harder to do maybe it would’ve changed to chopping off each finger (something like that finger chopping device in Resident Evil 7 comes to mind). the point is, this was the first idea of the design that he literally just thought of, and every prototype has it’s flaws that need ironing out

Don't steal stuff. I had a best friend dying in the hospital years back and someone (a nurse) took his cell phone, money from his wallet, and even some medicine (oxycodone for his neuropathy). So if this "trap" was punishing someone for stealing like that from a victim in a hospital - Jigsaw gets my hats off to him.

Everybody saying this is like the easiest challange and this dude is so lucky, and I guess he really is compared to the other challenges, ESPECIALLY the twisting one and the iconic reverse bear trap. But breaking your fingers hurts like HELL. and having to manually do it by yourself, knowing that one switch of a dial will immediately snap your finger and cause immense pain to stream through your body is awful. The pressure and overwhelming amount of dread knowing that either option will be awfully painful and you’ll probably die anyway just makes me shiver. Being strapped to literally ANY torture device in this setting would automatically be and feel 100x worse than just dying.

The opening scene to the new and tenth Saw movie is definitely the most famous scene to the Saw film franchise. Also, the first and original 2004 version of Saw is my favorite of the film series. its way easier said then done but if i was in that position just spin the dial all the way, your fingers will be broken temporary but your eye sight will be gone forever. The pain will be terrible but the quicker you do it the quicker you can get help and be treated.
