Hey I noticed that the "pusher" for the return was angled off to one side, probably the cause of needing the wind chimes. That ride on the wind chimes view is fantastic and with the second camera splitscreen you just feel drawn in to watch it. Nathan makes wood sawing fun and interesting!👍👍👍

Nathan, You've made "I Go Blind" famous. I clicked the link you posted for the song and in the comments there were many giving OTW credit for first hearing it and becoming enchanted by it (as did I). You give more than information on sawyering. While my drawl is not as pronounced as yours, when you say "white pine" I am reminded of when I was in training in Westchester, NY and the locals would howl with laughter every time I said "White Plains." It's not us; they're the ones with accents.

I read a comment below about many of the viewers here might be sawyers, but I will represent the other side, non-sawyers. I started watching this channel at first because of a curiosity of how wood is sawed. I "now" watch this channel because of the humble, polite and creative approach a person can take to the presentation. These things properly mixed together with the music, passion and Mother Earths natural gifts can only lead to a positive and wonderful experience. It's much more than harvesting wood for me. Something good is happening here. Thank you Nathan for taking me along.

To add to Nathan's answer to the gentleman's question on the 4 quarter question- rough lumber is sold by the 1\4 inch - so the rough thickness is 4/4 -5/4etc -5/4 usually ends up as 1 inch finished material when it comes out of a mill/cabinetry place

nice job Nathan. when I'm sawing wide doug fir, and everything is set right, I can manipulate the blade tension from dropping to increasing or even level it out just by adjusting the lube flow. that can end up using a lot of windshield washer anti freeze this time of year though :)

Nice to have that roof over the mill. Good video. Blade getting a little dull, heats up in the cut and expands. When we cut with a fellow with a hyd woodmizer we would clear the arms of the slab wood the he would leave the boards that needed edging on the arms. Then he would flip them up and edge them at the end. You could have taken another cut on the one side and ended up with a cleaner cant. You and I work alone most of the time so it a little tougher. I have to do it different on the manual mill. I put all the boards that need edging on horses and then do them all near the end of the day. Our you tube buddy Mike needs to leave his blade engaged and cut all the boards and move them with his tractor so Meliisa doesn't have to carry all them heavy boards! LOL ! Have a good weekend. Get Bruno a ice cream😁.

Nathan, another great video, thanks. I saw Wood Mizer has a laser site option. Does your controle panel have the provission already for the lazer site switch. Does your mill have the placement holes already for the lazer site.

Nathan, Do you know who sings or the title to the closing song? I would appreciate the information as I can't find it. 🌟👍🏻

Another great video! At what point, or thickness, can you just leave the boards on top of each other without pushing them back or pulling them off?

Thinking about getting a mill to build the barn on our farm. We just have a small herd of highlands so don’t need a big barn.
