"Backpacking isn't always easy or comfortable." That's the truth! And yep, always worth it! Nice job on this!

Thanks Michelle! The ebb and flow of a backpacking trip can be extreme for sure. 😉

Looks like you all had an awesome time. There is seriously so much to explore in the sawtooths. I just wish I had more time. I completely agree that backpacking changes who we are as people.

Thanks and well said! It's a backpackers heaven in that area and I hope to get the chance to explore more.

Great hiking in some gorgeous areas and stunning views along the trail. I bet that water crossing was cold and it is always nice to share a trip like this with friends. May have been a long journey but when you get a view like you had at Alpine Lake, you know it was worth it, cheers Alan

Some beautiful country out in Idaho, and that was an ambitious backpacking trip for sure. Loved the commentary between the days, going from confident optimism on Day 1 to, "we're gonna live" on day 4. You definitely picked a great place view wise to bang out 50+ miles.

Absolutely! Beautiful, challenging and rewarding. Her comment still cracks me up. That snowball was meant for payback for how hard that day was... 😄
