Well tbh if the script had read - Claire goes bananas and starts shooting... The outcome would have been different.

What ended up happening to Claire was the most heartbreaking part of the shows ending. First, she goes from having her whole “island family”, including Charlie, Aaron, and the rest, to having absolutely nobody, then she goes mad. Yeah, she finally gets to leave and be reunited with Aaron, but you know that was not easy. She wasn’t Claire anymore.
