the band needs to learn control too loud . this song is about the feeling and the Vocal not volume .. too loud for his incredible vocals

The sound quality is better live than in these videos. That said, in this case I think they were overpowering him a bit, but only because his voice seemed a little worn out that night. It was a rigorous touring schedule and he probably couldn't belt as strongly as he usually does on this song, on days when his voice is in top shape. His voice is naturally very loud and powerful, especially when you hear it in person, and generally the band enhances that, imo. I went to one of the shows on the tour and they were fantastic together. I do see them sometimes overwhelm his vocals a little, but I think that's usually due to either a tired voice or imperfect sound control from the technician, rather than the band's playing. Like I said, I think that most of the time the band really enhances Sawyer's powerful voice and music (without drowning him out). And as they play more and more shows together, I'm sure they'll only get better at finding that perfect balance.
