I predicted York! I guess there really was a reason behind that sinister, tongue out, smile she gave S-Snake before letting them turn her into stone. Also she was separated from her group. She was always in the background like Kanjuro, and considerably comic relief. She's the one character in this arc so far that has not done anything to help situations that has been occurring, in fact she always seemed so nonchalantly carefree. I also can see why she'd want to betray them, since she's only used for their nutrition sake. Probably got tired of only eating and sleeping and losing weight and the endless cycle of it all. No wonder she want's more in her life. She probably felt disgusted knowing that she's one of the "Dr. Vegapunks," and all she can do is eat and sleep. Also her epithet is "the greedy." Greedy folks almost always end up as the a-holes of the arc, and her wanting to be a tenryuubito explains a lot. Literally everything I wrote here besides this last little detail is something I wrote weeks ago. Her wanting to be a Tenryuubito is all new, and it completely solidifies the theory now turned confirmation.

Another conclusion for a reason as to why Sanji tanked the punch. When he was fighting Queen his body was starting to just transform into the new exoskeleton That's why he was able to be bent. I believe by now reaching egghead the transformation is complete so now he can take hits like that.

Oda did set it up that York was the traitor. She was the only one we didn't know anything concrete about other than her role as a Vegapunk. Vegapunks are also intelligent to a logical degree, why is it that York would go up to a Seraphim, particularly S-Snake and talk to it. Oda's framing of that situation was also strange, which is most likely why he removed her early on. Next we learned her verbal tendencies from Japanese translators, she has a strong tone. He made sure we didnt know enough about her to catch on.

oda likes to parallel pre timeskip to post timeskip arcs, and since egghead is paralleled with water 7/enies lobby (cipher pol reintroduced, strawhats fighting world governnent, perhaps bonney/robin saving, traitor (galley la and york)) and also paralleled with sabaody i think the next arc being elbaf makes perfekt sense. the arc after enies lobby is long ring long land where davy back fights are introduced, and now that we know shanks and kidd are on elbaf a davy back fight is likely. also theres amazon lily after sabaody. amazon lily being a society of warriors same way elbaf is. what i think is more interesting is what comes AFTER the amazon lily parallel. perhaps the strawhats ascend the giant tree in elbaf to juxtapose luffy alone descending down impel down prison. and then they could enter the final war by dropping down from a sky island after climbing the giant tree and enter the war how luffy entered marineford.

Well, they are still pirates to the average citizen of the One Piece world. Overall, a pirate's words aren't going to be as trustworthy as a government official's. Telling the truth will need either undeniable evidence or the power to win a war against the WG and "become justice", as Doflamingo put it. What good will telling the truth do when you'd just end up looking like Usopp to the rest of the world? At worst, you risk the truth being laughed at even when it is uncovered in the future.

Edit: the powers themselves might even skip a generation or two. Dictated by sheer luck in ones genetic makeup, which would explain why none of his siblings have this power, but Sanji does.

People have been speculating for years how Luffy does his famous red hawk attack; where he literally conjures fire out of thin air (even underwater) unto his fists and uses it to punch people. Even while in gear 5, he left behind fire tracks as he ran mid-air towards Kaido. Then there is red rock etc., etc. Personally, when it got revealed that he got the sun god fruit, I instantly connected all his fire abilities to that, his fruit, I mean. Plus gear second, is Oda's way to inform its readers that there is another power luffy has aside from his devil fruit during Enies Lobby. Im betting Vegapunk will die, they will retreat the seraphim back for the final war and GG the strawhats dont necesarily lose anything personal but they couldn't protect vegapunk, and without VP they have to go to Elbaph to learn any answers.

But he will have to do it on the down low so making it seem like he got captured is the best way. We do know that good Celestial Dragons exist like Doflamingos father and even his uncle who was a scumbag who turned around. Perhaps Ohara has weighed on him heavily all these years and now having to order a second Ohara with Egghead made him turncoat.

@@Profitglutton90 thats exactly why he needs to go💀we already had a scene of luffy not wanting to get the answers from rayleigh or anyone else, same with robin thats her job, we need the strawhats to get the answers themselves, vegapunk already gave us some good tidbits, thats good enough for me. But he needs to go in some way, so either all of the sattelites die or the main stella body dies or punk records is destroyed alongside most of his knowledge and he has to re-learn everything alongside the strawhats

@@orbboom6119 he doesn’t want to get the answers of how to get to Laughtale. That doesn’t mean explaining the significance of the poneglyphs won’t need to be made through him. I mean the world government is sending a bigger force to take just Vegapunk out than what they used against Whitebeard. That’s signifying that the marines think his knowledge is a bigger threat to them than even the Yonko. There’s no way he’ll die before we get a lore dump of the secrets that the audience has wanted to know for 25+ years now.

I’m seeing a lot of people complain about off screen. Odd has been writing for around thirty years. He’s off screen a ton of fights, concepts, and ideas. Why is it such a big problem now? It sounds like people who have never written before want to complain about something because they’re uncreative enough to do this and want to complain about anything.
