@@Jessycheese I, too, am adding a bari after playing tenor. I find that It's necessary to be a stronger player, not overly aggressive, but to play with the strength to fill the horn and produce good tone. Still building my chops.

Ok so im going from flute to bari sax any advice i should have with lurning the instrument

Hi Emily, I’ve been playing saxophone for nine years now (junior in HS now), and someone in my ensemble transitioned from flute to bari as well. Learning sax fingerings wasn’t too difficult for her, but the embouchure was very different. She recommended that you spend an hour or so playing into just the mouthpiece, then mouthpiece and neck, and finally doing long tones on the whole horn to focus on producing a good sound.
