I live in Las Vegas we don't have all the history you have. But you can find arrowhead which aren't magnetic. Dinosaurs sabertooth tigers wholly mammoths. But I found hundreds of Morgan silver dollars quite a few from Carson City. I have dates as far back as1878 or 79

Well done on the surface find Argent, I think you may have a Aethelheard (Archbishop of Canterbury) 4th issue (c. 798-805) with the name of Coenwulf (Overlord) around centre and also the other side shows the King's name in the angles of the tribrach. SPINK values this @ £825 (F) and £2500 (VF) according to their 2009 44th edition of "Coins of England & the United Kingdom. :)
@nickargent64915 жыл бұрын
Thanks Canadian Bacon, it's a Coenwulf group 1 (without portrait) Tribrach type penny, 796-805. On the reverse is the moneyers name in the angles. WIGHARD. This coin was minted at the London mint under the control of the moneyer Wigheard. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍👍

love your videos I notice your mum was using a nox 800 and she seemed to prefer the deus..going to upgrade soon as the weight of the safari is going to take my right arm off and was thinking of In the future of buying the nox..
@julieargent76175 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes nick got me the 800 for Christmas, and tbh I'm still trying to learn it. I've been given some beach settings for land by Neil, one of the nox testers. So far I like those settings. With all the other settings I've tried, all I seem to dig is deep iron😢. It's definitely deeper than my 9" deus too, but that's not necessarily a good thing with Essex clay. Gonna keep it for a while though, until I've tested it on our 'done to death' sites. If things magically start coming up, it'll be worth it. As for weight, it's heavier than my deus, and I will need to use a bungee if I'm gonna use it a lot, but you'll probably find it light compared to a safari. It's not as well balanced as a deus either.

Very nice guys, great finds and I really like the explanation with each piece..the 1066 William 1st penny had me wondering, what turmoil was the country in as that coin was issued?, fascinating.

Hi Rob, I imagine it must have been turbulent times during the Norman conquest. If only these coins could talk 🤔🤔 Thanks for watching 👍👍

Love going detecting with you but a lot of times it’s hard to see the coins or objects because the camera is very shaky and not in focus.
@julieargent76175 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear you don't think they're clear. When on our own we have to do everything one handed whilst holding the coin in the other hand. Plus with nice finds who wouldn't be shaky?! My hands shake every time I find something special. We don't carry tripods, we just use our phones. All the while we're trying to shield speakers from the wind too, and not show too much background. It's not easy.
