This was my bf and I’s song. I found my soulmate and we imagined a beautiful future together. The first several weeks had been magical but then it came out this weekend how deeply troubled he is and we are no longer together. I am so heartbroken and wish he could see how incredible he is and how strong he is and hope he can learn to love himself and beat this thing he struggles with. Happiness and love has to come from within, the rest is a nice overflow. As within so without, as above so below. Microcosms are reflected in macrocosms and he knows this, I wish he would apply it to love within. I think he may hate me now and it hurts, letting go of him is something I am having trouble doing and with how things are currently it is the only thing to do. And so I revisit a song I listened to often when in college and then again with him, sending him love and wishing him the best. ❤️
