As I was watching, I got a text from someone I had not heard from in months that said this: God asked me to specifically pray this for you and others this morning: In the name of Jesus, everything in your foundation that has held you back breaks right now! I release an earthquake to rock your foundation now and command prison doors to open and chains holding you captive to break open now in the name of Jesus. When I feel forgotten and hopeless Lord let your water of life comfort me. Even though I fell on hard times these pass three years. I’m holding on and keeping faith even though it’s hard. Faith is our armor against the enemy. I keep faith even as I constantly struggle to provide for my children and I constantly struggle to buy groceries. My husband died years ago. At times I feel so alone especially as a single mom. Since suffering a heart attack two years ago and my on going battle with lupus I’m overwhelmed and discouraged. Both of my sons are autistic but because of you Lord they are thriving. I’m now homeschooling them so my hours to work are limited. I’m afraid Lord. Afraid of homelessness. Thankfully I have you Lord! I know you will continue to provide you have this far. I LOVE YOU HEAVENLY FATHER.

I’m really not fully grasping this. I’m kind of struggling with it. I sure don’t like delays in my life!! Delays test my patience. And my life has had thousands of delays. Some of my hopes have seemingly been delayed for a lifetime, and I’m now a senior citizen. And I AGREE that these hopes deferred have made my heart sick in many areas. But how does this tie in with what the Bible teaches about patience? Like anyone else, when I want something, I want it NOW! But aren’t we taught that “God’s delays are not necessarily His denials?” Ive head that numerous times! Also there are other testimonies I’ve heard where (for instance) an airline flight was delayed, and after all was said and done it turns out that God had been working through the delay to prevent a horrible air disaster! So I’m really having a hard time grasping the teaching. Somebody help me, please!
