That's one of the best video's on the Druze. When you have the Druze people speak about their religion and way of life, it's purely priceless. God bless our Druze brothes and sistes of Israel

Same here I am a Druze living in London and although I have a British passport if I were to visit Israel and see these beautiful villages I would not be able to then get into Syria to see my family. As a Syrian I feel as though there is no option but to create peace with Israel. It is the only way that the violence between the two will stop.

You can visit Israel and still go to Syria, Israel doesn’t stamp foreign passport so visitors could go with theirs documents to any non friendly country.@@judi5610

In Algeria , during the struggle for independence, against the colonial government, and its European settlers , there were Collaborators who helped with the French army’s crimes . What happened to them , when the Colonialists departed ?

The whole region, from Mesopotamia to the Levant, was once polytheistic but this historical insistence of monotheistic cultures to claim territories based on tribal identities has been the reason of much bloodshed from the dawn of history. These two areas were once sites to ancient civilizations, most of which inherited traditions from Sumer and Akkad, later succeeded by the overall Aramaic-speaking culture, with the Kurdish dialects in the Kurdish northern regions. The Druzes themselves must have a much older history than what is so far known, as the Yazidis certainly have since there are many evident similarities between their tradition and Hinduism - or Zoroastrianism for that matter. We don´t know what may still be discovered when history and archaeology manage to reveal their so far unknown, older roots. The acculturation by both the Pan-Arabists and the Ottoman Empire - and later the Sykes-Picot Agreement (May 1916) - alienated the diverse minorities in these regions, giving rise to even more serious issues, not to mention that agreement represented one more betrayal towards the Kurdish people, who had already been victim of previous stabs in their back by the western powers. In a sense, Israel is both a Jewish state, as it's deeply rooted with these people's history, but also the state of all the minorities whose ancestors gave their blood to found the modern country and have kept defending it, mainly the Druze in this case. Moreover, the Israelites themselves were not as detached from their neighbors as orthodox Judaism puts it, but rather a very eclectic people as the seal of king Ezekiah (or other recent archaeological finds) and the syncretic synagogue mentioned in one of the Elephantine Papyri show. Personally, I think archaeologists like Israel Finkelstein and Neil Asher Silberman have given a great step towards a new identity for the peoples of the region with their brilliant work 'The Bible Unearthed'. Also, the burgeoning pagan movement in Israel is contributing towards an eclectic identity, based on the much older spiritual roots of the land but with much acceptance towards the monotheistic traditions, though most often the same cannot be said about the latter ones towards these new pagans. Let´s remember that also Israeli Christian Zionists, like the ones spearheaded by Father Gabriel Nadaf, have also been part of this fight, and recently even some Muslim Israelis. Domari in Israel are also part of the people and as long as other Israeli non Jewish minorities - like Circassians, Armenians, etc - cherish and love Israel as the Israeli Druze do, they must be allowed to feel deeply connected to the state as well. In order to outgrow the stifling limitations of identities which do not fit the changes of time, Israeli Jews and non Jews alike must look deeper into the land's much older past to find a new way of preserving unity without killing its diversity in the process. The seeds must grow into trees to give fruits themselves:-)
