It doesn’t have one. As I said, it’s not for everyone. Don’t like it… don’t buy it 😀

Because if of it's limitations it seems like a luxury second camera like people owning a Fuji X100 series or Ricoh GR camera when they already have a camera system. A lot depends on what compact lenses become available for it. The Sony A7C has several compact primes that pair well with it from Sony, Sigma, Samyang in the 24 to 50 mm range. The Sigma 45 mm looks like the best match so far, makes the S9 decent for street or travel. The new kit lens is f6.3 at 40 mm, that is a bit slow. I don't know much about video and it compares to other cameras. For compact travel and street photography in full frame the Sony A7Cii is a more flexible system but more expensive, a used A7C is similar price. In APS-C Fuji X100VI (if you can get one) and Fuji XT50 are great option, the film sim dial on the XT50 is fun for new camera users. The enthusiasm for the 26 mm is, I feel, the Panasonic hospitality kicking in. Canon used to have a 40 mm f2.8 pancake. That would have been killer. So the S9 is a bit of an ugly duckling but might be beautiful for the right use case.

You know what, I just had this realization... On one side, TONS of people are going to LOVE having the ability to find LUTS in an app, add them to the camera very easy, save a lot of em (39 I think), be able to edit them very easy, and shoot with them...and save a TON of time on post. On the other side, it seems like a lot of people are mad or salty about that, salty about people having that access or ability to create. The days of needing a colorist, or having to put things on the computer, or have to use lightroom and davinci, and all this other stuff...is not necessarily needed, depending on the user / project. Lumix is in a great spot right now. This camera definitely has a niche. If its not your niche, keep it moving. As an S5ii owner, I am very open to getting an S9 as a backup / side-piece.

As a hobbyist, not having to pay for a Lightroom subscription or pay someone for their LR presets, Lumix’s implementation of LUTs for both photography and vid is, to use an overused term “a game changer” for us hobbyists. Like Fuji recipes on steroids

Liked the s9 so much I ended up also buying a s5iiX and 6 Sigma contemorary DG DN lenses 😂 my first jump into mirrorless since I have been shooting Canon DSLR since 2001. Still not replacing my 1dxmk3 for sports but for everything else its going to be Lumix.

You shouldn’t be quoting the 403g weight… nobody does that (and it makes no sense, since it’s unusable). The standard is to quote with battery and card, which is 486g.

It will be available for Lumix cameras once it is released. The current Lumix Sync app will be replaced with Lumix Lab.
