Not to take anything away from this tragedy. No knock warrants should be abolished. In my hometown a decorated Marine who had just recently returned from Iraq was shot over 30 times by police using a no knock warrant. Like this couple he heard unknown people outside his house at 2am, so he grabbed his rifle to defend his home. Turns out all this happened over an anonymous tip that he was a drug dealer. No investigation, no surveillance just a tip. Allowing the police to act this way is a license to kill. And btw the police found a half ounce of marijuana, a misdemeanor in my state. And of course it was ruled that shooting a man 30+ times was justified.

Someone please make it make since this cop said when they broke down the door he was looking at the barrel of a gun that was held by Kenneth. He didn't shoot at the person holding the gun he shot unarmed Breonna. As They were reloading they heard no return fire yet they continued to fire into Breonnas apartment. Kenneth made three phone calls before he was ordered to exit the apartment.

Police asked the post master if there were any suspicious packages coming to and from her home, which the post master said was not true. They still used that anyways to obtain the warrant.

They showed how many bullet holes were in the house, the cabinets, the ceiling (that went into the neighbor's apt). It's doubtful she would have been any safer in the closet. The truth is the police who first went in did so anticipating a gun fight. Their adrenaline was already high. Add to that the misinformation given to the other police who later arrived on the scene (remember they were told some one was shooting with a rifle) and it's only a surprise the boyfriend survived. Imagine the lies that would have come out about them both if he'd been killed as well.

@Joe Deus while i agree with some of the things you said the issue is on both sides of the equation my proposal/solution: more training and include training exercises such as a few people are in the danger zone with one or more person holding an angle and if that person does not hold sight of a suspect or hostile then they should hold fire and standby to maintain control or to help someone at a moments notice. And not every single place is friendly since places and/or family and even friends can be extremely volatile and resort to violence without notice. And have more restrictive, controlled and maintained gun control especially with people who are known or are more likely to resort to violence. And this is all from MY point of view and if anyone has a problem then deal with it
