Thanks for sharing about your Etsy finds! I have two Etsy shops that I create for. I always appreciate when someone supports small business owners.

Of course! I would buy solely from small businesses if I could afford it and if they sold everything I was looking for. It’s my favorite thing ever!! Are the shops selling things for kid gifts - feel free to share the links!

Does the Yoto have an alarm clock on it too by chance? I got my 3yr old daughter a Tonie Box because I loved the figurines/characters but I liked the card style for my 7yr old son but hoped it had an alarm with the clock.

Not related directly, but you said, “since I’m with them 24/7”. Um, feel that. Feel that so much as a homeschool mom. What are you doing to help break up your day and how do you schedule doctors’ appointments, etc? This is one thing that concerns me when I think of the long term picture of homeschooling.
@HomeschoolGlue3 жыл бұрын
It definitely is hard! I’ve never experienced anything differently besides having more kids when I did daycare so I’m used to it but it doesn’t make it easy that’s for sure! I did get breaks from one kid here and there with my oldest in public school last year but still not a full break. I have a lot of help from my mom thankfully which helps me out a ton! It can be very hard!
@mombythec3 жыл бұрын
I'm sure you thought of this already, but make sure you get some trays with high sides to use the fossil/gems kit....they are super messy lol. But my son loved them, he asked for them again and again for a few years. My 9 year old loves crystals, gems, fossils, minerals...I am planning to get her a larger kit, I forget it's name.

*personalised childrens books* are really great gift ideas if you're planning to give to young book lovers, or even not. You're able to have the reading and learning experience be basically "tailor" made for them, creating a more engaging feel of interaction

Lovely thoughtful gift ideas. The learning resources rock n gem set might be a good set for your younger girl as the older two are getting the gem dig kit but it is 3 years plus. I love the wooden playsets you are getting the kids if my kids were younger I would buy them but I have a teen girl and a 9 year old son so way past all that now. Thank you for sharing
@HomeschoolGlue3 жыл бұрын
I just looked up that set - so fun! If my youngest was a year or so older I think she would love it but too many small pieces for her right now. What a great idea though! Yes the play sets are so incredible! I’m going to be so sad when mine outgrow them!

I have boys but I want several of the things you got your girls! 😅 I also love small world play with my kids & I'm definitely getting them the superhero one! Do you give your families a “wish list” for the kids? Or do they just buy what they think the girls will like?
@HomeschoolGlue3 жыл бұрын
Oh awesome!!! I’m glad it was helpful! I give them an Amazon wishlist - I keep one for each girl I add to throughout the year for myself as well as anyone who asks for ideas. Most family buy from that which is nice so we don’t get repeats or things we don’t have space for or won’t use. You can link non-Amazon stuff on the wishlists too!
