@@starquant Over the top description i think. Yap, Paul get upset Michael outbid and outsmart him, after he gave him the advice on music industry nonetheless. But i don't recall it's ever gotten very ugly. It just they didn't get friendly anymore after that incident. Anyway, Paul finally reclaim The Beatles catalog now...
@sm95715 жыл бұрын
@@starquant didnt get ugly at all, look at his later interviews pms that is
@dalfifran75725 жыл бұрын
@@starquant I've already read that, although from another version of music sites, but it's similar and nothing new that i've already knew. Paul got offered but lost the bid, particularly because MJ lawyer didn't told Paul that it was an auction, in effect got outsmarted/outbid. Really, nothing on the link or other sites that i read or interview that suggest it turns really ugly. Upset, sure... Who the hell will not upset getting shit out for your own piece, after you chased it for decade and from a friend who he gave advice some years ago... But Paul on several interviews also mention that it 'was only bussiness' and try not to make big of a deal of it. Although he admitted that his friendship with Jackson is marred from that action. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYamqn2Oa9qambM kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3iUmXSMg7uWh8Um01s
@dalfifran75725 жыл бұрын
@@starquant What's wrong to have said something like that? You said it yourself. Michael fully aware that Paul is chasing his own song, The Beatles catalog. If one of my friends do that to me, especially when he knew that I've been trying to do that for more than 2 decade then suddenly he cutting me off, also after gave him some bussiness advice only to turn it against me because he has more money or didn't want to go into a pissing money contenst, I will be angry as hell and feel betrayed too. It's not like Jackson is fully innocent here. He knows McCartney is after it!. But McCartney didn't throw tantrum in public didn't? Only made it clear that he is unhappy with what Jackson do, and their friendship is reasonably broke after that incident. Sure, Jackson told McCartney, but via his lawyer who didn't told that it was an auction. McCartney tried to get Yoko to his side, but it's futile. So finally Jackson outbid it. No matter how you sliced it, it's sneaky.

I remember this video very much, It was filmed in the Los Olivos / Los Alamos,Calif. area. I was 23 years old and heard they were filming there .I lived in Los Angeles at the time so I drove up and got to meet Paul McCartney. Didn't get to meet Michael tho.I spent about a ½ hr. talking to Paul and that was one of the highlights of my life! He was very down to earth and very approachable . After the filming Michael Jackson immediately took off to a local hotel. He didn't really talk to anyone , but he probably was tired. A day I'll never forget!

I was a bouncer at a club called Electric Avenue in Montreal from 2006-2007 and they had a kick-ass sound system and all the walls were set up to glow with the music. Saturday nights the DJ had a light guy in and they would have the whole place going. This was one of my favorite songs because it sounded so good on their system. A lot of good music was playing, but this had that extra 10% of sound engineering that would just make the place melt. I will never forget it and I wish I could go back to experience it again.

john warter Michael wasn’t convicted for one thing....and another thing....that had nothing to do with the feud between Paul and Michael. I’d be pretty hurt too if someone who was a “friend” came in at the last minute and stole MY compositions like that.

From the days when Michael was still black and at his best regarding his surgery, not as he ever needed any of it. But after this point his face started going downhill, shame he was so obsessed by it

I grew up listening to Michael Jackson and even the Beatles because of my parents. But this is honestly the first time I heard this one (I haven't been exposed to every single song) and I gotta say I've been missing out on some masterpieces!

Yea this song stayed pretty lowkey until his death. I only know about it because they kept playing all his videos on tv for weeks after he died. I doubt I’d even know this song if he was still alive lol

This video is underrated. I've never heard anything about the treatment. Its so elaborate and cinematic. They did a great job. The fact that its set so far in the past is amazing. Beautiful video.

The first time I saw Michael Jackson was in this video! I found him amazing!

What are you calling "underrated" exactly?
@gl70117 күн бұрын
@@Kayavod Underrated as far as it's place in Michael Jackson's body of work. Consider this, Nobody ever thinks of Say, Say, Say, when they think of Michael Jackson's greatest videos or songs. There are so many other videos that come to mind before this one does. From Thriller, to Beat It, to Smooth Criminal etc. Those videos are alot more edgy and exciting to look at. Say, Say, Say on the other hand is very low key, and almost subtle by comparison. I think this video is overlooked, taken for granted, and under appreciated for it's stellar quality.

Beautiful song and the video is so amazing ❤Mike and Paul their voices sounded great together. And as I always say Michael was just gorgeous in the 80's.I really couldn't take my eyes of him.😍

Dash93 I know he’s black I’ve been listening to Michael since I was born back in 1980. I’m a big fan of him and his sister Janet. Don’t go dragging his name into your BLM rant, it’s upsetting enough that he’s not here today to make more great music. Instead of getting angry be proud that he’s black, to me he is no doubt the best music artist of ALL TIME there will NEVER be another Michael or anyone that comes close to his level. He would of been turning 62 years old in August RIP 😔

That's depending on the person who's listenining the song. In my opinion Paul Mccartney was a bigger star than Michael Jackson, but that doesn't mean MJ wasn't an icon. Either way both are icons.
@atm36374 жыл бұрын
Manuel Figuera They both are icons in different ways, we all know Paul, John Lennon and George Harrison are gifted song writers and established their own solo careers after The Beatles, not sure what Ringo got up to. To me Michael was special, there was always that raw talent within him. When you watch him as a child in Jackson 5 you knew that he was gonna be big on his own and he was. He was a perfectionist, he could dance, sing, write songs and made the best music videos. He is the King imo and set the bar pretty high, I haven’t seen anyone come close to what he’s done within the music industry!!!! Just me ranting on as an MJ fan 😂

@Dash93 i love michael jackson, i'm white but i prefer him black, this is the truth. I think that what you are saying is wrong, why do you think that all white peoples hate black peoples ? You can see that i'm not...
