Mad respect for her translator for this detailed japanese version that make it sounds like it was originally written in japanese, instead of just a translation
@Acesissy1234Ай бұрын
😭🤯Apparently someone said she did everything herself,editing,doubling,etc..
@anxx5233Ай бұрын
@Acsissy1234 really, if i remember correctly there's a list of credits at the end of her videos. It's more of a collab project, I suppose. Also the translation part is definitely not her work, since she couldn't speak japanese

I really like this reaction. It's both genuine and educational. This is the first time I've seen a reaction that perfectly breaks down the way the song works in Japanese vs. the original English.
Me as indonesian think the japanese language is much more easy to pronounce than english. But of course english is much more easy to learn because we (indonesian) use the same alphabet. Kanji is too hard for me.
@Afzn20203 жыл бұрын
@SOO DAM then it's call romaji.
@delvianandriano21133 жыл бұрын
I guess it's because japanese romaji and indonesian pronounciation sounds the same, but english and indonesian pronounciation is very different.
@heian173 жыл бұрын
I am Vietnamese, i find Japanese not too hard because Vietnamese and Japanese have some same loanwords which came from Chinese
@Arashiiie3 жыл бұрын
@@heian17 Well indonesian have loan words from hokkian, which is different from mandarin. So if we compare indonesian and japanese words we have a little to no similiarities but we have some words that sound the same with different meaning, for example "kamu" means "you" in indonesian but it is "bite/chew" in japanese.
@heian173 жыл бұрын
@@Arashiiie I think the word kamu in Indonesian came from Malay language. That is why it doesn't have the same meaning as 噛む kamu in Japanese.

I truly appreciate your reaction and comments. What makes your content better than most of other reaction videos is that yours is not merely a reaction but you also put insightful & honest comments. I found it very satisfying watching it. Again, thank you very much.

nah. it came across a bit like japanese racisn , as in , looking down on someone singing in Japanese because they are not native of japan...
@nakaharaindria3 жыл бұрын
What you pointed out is I think also a contributing factor to why her cover is so popular (aside from the fact that she just EXUDES immense talent in her video). It's clearly in a different language than the original song but the Japanese lyrics were translated in such a way that it keeps the feeling that is natural to the original English lyric. So it's really fun to try to sing along to. Mad props to her translator!

The insight that I got from this video about Japanese linguistic, lyrics translation, pronunciation, the different use of vowel in casual speaking & in singing, etc is just soo much and so useful. Thank you for the amazing breakdown.
@NoName-mh7oo3 жыл бұрын
correction: It’s actually Datenkou who translated the lyrics. Rainych Ran simply sang the lyrics instead
This is wonderful! It's still hard for me to believe she's not only Indonesian, but literally DOESN'T SPEAK JAPANESE! I mean, seriously? Incredible. I'm just a generic American dude so this probably doesn't mean much coming from me, but if you'd told me she was a native Japanese speaker I'd 100% have believed it. Also, thank you for so much insight! It's fascinating! And the subtitles are very much appreciated too! :) Subscribed!
