A little ditty we created while still at Songbird Cabin. One of the greatest things about spending time in a cabin in the forest is to spend it doing things like this. Not watching TV but creating music which is what surrounds us at Mantle Rock. Divine Music. Nice! I hadn't seen a video from you for awhile so I came looking for one. Very entertaining! I hope everything is doing good. I play the piano too Heather. My husband and I have also sang together too.We haven't done it for a long time. I thought I would let you know that we walked back to Camp Poviner. The campground is in OK shape, the buildings, signs, trash cans, and picnic tables are all there. Right in the campground the trees are still green there. The bridge is washed out, no bridge left anymore. It looks like they had a pretty bad flashflood so debris is all over from that. The only thing left at the trailhead is two flat parking lots. The walking bridge over the little river is gone. Lots of the area is burned before you get to the campground and it looks like it has been bulldozed a lot. The area around the campground looks nothing like it did before. The area where we hiked once is all burned, nothing green. They were putting a new cattle guard in that day so they are back there working. So at least there is a new cattle guard! Big Ponderosa trees are falling down so on windy days we won't be going anywhere near the burned areas. They are trying to do clean up work along HWY 283, they are cutting down all kind of trees near to the road and just leaving them on piles. No one seems to be coming to pick them up. It's a mess. That is what is happening down here. Las Vegas seems to have enough water, so nothing going on with the water situation. We have heard nothing about any more meetings or anything. God bless
