I am able to defocus my eyes so I can't read and just say the color when I see it. Not sure how I can do that with my eyes lol.

Nice video. I have a question, was it on purpose that in round 1 one word matches the colour (brown) also in round 2 with yellow. If so, why? Thanks!

Thanks! Yes, it's on purpose. It leaves the contestant on his or her toes, and was a huge hit with my ESL kiddos. They never knew what was coming. 😊😊

I use it for K-5 students to grow their FLEXIBLE THINKING- It's an Executive Function Skill

As Eric commented, this video helps students practise their thinking skills as well as serving as a brain break in my ESL classroom. :)

Also, we use it in teacher training, to show people the way the brain processes visual things including words. If you have confusing visual inputs for the students, students will have more difficulty.

Btw, this would work better if you didn't milk each word individually. Show them as a set. Much trickier. And you wouldn't need the deliberate gotchas. If this is aimed at pre-schoolers then I apologise.

@@itadaku23 it is aimed at my Norwegian ESL students, and the speed and level has been adapted to suit this group of students. 😊
