Now that’s just how it works, however, what’s sad is, they have to do YEARS before they even realize it wasn’t worth it and change. I know people who when we were kids I told them “you are wasting time and energy with this gang stuff.” and that was in the 90s. Fast forward to nowadays 2021, 22 and 23 when they are just now getting out and you see them and they say: “man bro I should’ve been on what you were on a long time ago.” It’s very hard to watch a 30 something 40 something year old man, who had to pause his life because he was in the streets and went to prison come out and try and start a new life. In most cases, they still act like juveniles because that’s the only life they remembered before going in. They hang out and talk to people a LOT younger than them because people their age have lives and are working with kids and homes and stuff. Then, they start running out of options and see how tough real life is and most of them go right back inside where they were. It’s sad because for the majority of people who commit crimes, once the system has their hooks in you, they have you for life. I don’t understand our people specifically being not only targeted but also trapped by this for the last 50 years At LEAST. They got us with crack, gang life, money and coveting money and now it’s technology and social media. It’s sad.
